WrestleMania 42 has arrived, and as always, the biggest event on the WWE calendar will be split across two nights packed with marquee matchups and unpredictable moments. Night 1 in Las Vegas features a loaded card that blends championship bouts, grudge matches and a few head-scratching additions that only WrestleMania can deliver.

From established stars looking to cement their legacy to challengers aiming for their breakthrough moment, there is no shortage of storylines at play. Of course, trying to apply betting logic to professional wrestling is never an exact science. However, there are still clear patterns, momentum swings and booking tendencies that can help point us in the right direction to perhaps make a little money while enjoying the spectacle that is WrestleMania.

Below, we break down the WWE betting odds and share our analysis and predictions for the full WrestleMania Night 1 card.

All WWE WrestleMania betting odds are taken from BetUS Sportsbook.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • Cody Rhodes (+200)
  • Randy Orton (-300)

Regardless of how you feel about the way this match came to be and the subsequent build over the last month, it should be a banger in the ring. Randy Orton earned the right to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship by winning the Elimination Chamber. Once Cody Rhodes took the title away from then-champ Drew McIntyre on the following week’s episode of SmackDown, Orton’s heel turn became inevitable.

The beating Orton put on Rhodes after the two signed the match contract was the best thing to happen on the road to WrestleMania. It was a clear sign that “The Viper” is back and fully locked in on winning his 15th world title. Of course, in recent weeks, Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll have also been injected into this championship feud. While McAfee has done his job in getting under fans’ skin, giving Orton a mouthpiece has been interesting, to say the least.

As for a prediction, this match arguably got spoiled when McAfee told Rhodes that if Orton does not win, he will never be seen on WWE programming again. Do we really think McAfee is going away forever? Add in the fact that Orton winning No. 15 has felt like a long time coming, and the direction here seems pretty clear.

WWE Betting Picks: Randy Orton (-300)

Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • Stephania Vaquer: (+275)
  • Liv Morgan: (-450)

These two have been at each other’s throats ever since Liv Morgan officially chose Stephanie Vaquer as her WrestleMania opponent. The build has featured a strong mix of verbal exchanges and physical confrontations, and you could argue it has been one of the more compelling feuds on the WrestleMania 42 match card.

Unfortunately for fans of the current champion, there really feels like only one way this ends in Las Vegas. Morgan figures to have Judgment Day cohorts Raquel Rodriguez and/or Roxanne Perez lurking as potential backup, which only adds to her edge in this spot. She remains one of the biggest stars in the women’s division today and looks primed for another title run.

Vaquer has put together a solid reign, but this feels like the right moment for a shift at the top of the RAW women’s division.

WWE Betting Picks: Liv Morgan (-450)

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: AJ Lee (c) vs. Becky Lynch

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • AJ Lee (+300)
  • Becky Lynch (-500)

AJ Lee has yet to lose since making her return to WWE last year. Granted, the sample size is small, but it is still notable. Since coming back, she has consistently been a thorn in Becky Lynch’s side, culminating in a clean victory to capture the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, these two are set to run it back at WrestleMania. However, another loss for Lynch is difficult to envision, especially considering she has already dropped the IC title twice during this stretch. Between the loss to Lee and her prior defeat to Maxxine Dupri before regaining the title with help from Nattie, there has been very little credibility built into Lynch’s current run as a heel.

Whether that has been by design or not, there are no real signs of “The Man” turning face again anytime soon. Instead, this feels like the spot where she leans fully into that heel role and does whatever it takes to get the job done.

WWE Betting Picks: Becky Lynch (-500)

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The Irresistible Forces (c) vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. Brie Bella and Paige

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • The Irresistible Forces: (+300)
  • Charlotte Flair & Alexas Bliss: (+600)
  • Bayley & Lyra Valkyria: (-200)
  • Brie Bella & Paige (+110)

A major shakeup has hit this match, stemming from The Bella Twins’ corner. Nikki Bella has not been medically cleared to compete due to the ankle injury she suffered weeks ago, and Paige has been re-signed by WWE to take her place. While Paige brings name value and in-ring credibility, it is difficult to envision a newly inserted competitor walking in and immediately capturing the titles alongside Brie Bella without any real build.

As for the rest of the field, it still feels likely that Nia Jax and Lash Legend drop the titles, though an extension of their reign is not completely off the table. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, meanwhile, have been a fun pairing but do not necessarily need the titles to maintain credibility.

That brings us to Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, whose story dates back to last year’s WrestleMania when Bayley was attacked by Becky Lynch. Valkyria would later team with Lynch to win the tag titles before Lynch’s heel turn, adding another layer to this dynamic.

Bayley and Valkyria feel like the most logical choice to capture the gold one year after having what was supposed to be a shared WrestleMania moment spoiled. That said, there is still some value to consider on The Irresistible Forces at 3-1.

WWE Betting Picks: Bayley & Lyra Valkyria (-200)

Unsanctioned Match: Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • Jacob Fatu: (-600)
  • Drew McIntyre: (+350)

I’ll say it — Jacob Fatu’s character has no business being a face. The guy feels built to be a heel in WWE. While the current direction stems from his fallout with Solo Sikoa, it still feels like a forced fit based off of crowd reaction.

That brings us to this unsanctioned matchup against Drew McIntyre. Fatu blames McIntyre for the attack that sidelined him late last year, though there is still some ambiguity there. On the other side, McIntyre has convinced himself that Fatu’s involvement cost him the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes following the Elimination Chamber. That claim feels like a bit of a stretch as well.

In theory, an anything-goes environment should favor Fatu. The chaos of an unsanctioned match plays directly into his strengths. However, from a betting perspective, McIntyre is an intriguing underdog. After being pushed out of the main event picture in favor of Rhodes, this feels like a spot where WWE could give him a favorable outcome.

WWE Betting Picks: Drew McIntyre (+350)

Men’s Singles Match: Gunther vs. Seth Rollins

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • Gunther: (-500)
  • Seth Rollins: (+300)

Three weeks ago, Gunther was inexplicably absent from the road to WrestleMania. Now, he finds himself in an undercard matchup against Seth Rollins that has all the potential to steal the show. It is a far cry from what many expected for both superstars coming out of the Elimination Chamber.

What remains unclear is just how much of a true storyline exists here. Is Gunther aligned with Paul Heyman? Will this evolve into something beyond WrestleMania? The rushed nature of the booking has left more questions than answers.

At the end of the day, this feels like another opportunity for Gunther to pick up a major victory. Rollins has already accomplished just about everything in WWE and can absorb a loss without issue. From a broader perspective, a Gunther win also seems like the most logical outcome if the Rollins/Heyman dynamic is expected to carry forward beyond WrestleMania.

WWE Betting Picks: Gunther (-500)

Men’s Tag Team Match: The Usos & LA Knight vs. The Vision & IShowSpeed

Moneyline Odds to Win:

  • The Usos & LA Knight: (-350)
  • The Vision & IShowSpeed: (+225)

Yet another head-scratcher of a match. It almost feels like WWE realized LA Knight was not on the WrestleMania card and scrambled to get him involved. And why have the World Tag Team Championships defended on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” when we can feature IShowSpeed instead?

That said, the build to this match has at least been entertaining. Speed has looked completely out of his element alongside Logan Paul and Austin Theory, adding a bit of chaotic energy to the whole situation. Clearly, the moral of the whole story is do not get cursed by Danhausen!

This should be a fun match, but from a betting perspective, it is difficult to see The Usos or LA Knight taking a pinfall to a Twitch streamer in this spot.

WWE Betting Picks: The Usos & LA Knight (-350)
