3 Things the New York Jets need to do this Offseason

The New York Jets once again missed the playoffs in the 2021 season. The last time they made the postseason was in 2010 when Peyton Manning and Tom Brady were still on their original teams.

It has been 11 seasons of misery for the New York Jets. Their coach and quarterback may be set for the future, so the light could be just on the other side of the tunnel. Still, here are three things the Jets must do during the 2022 NFL Offseason in order to get out of last place in their division.

What the New York Giants Must Do in the 2022 NFL Offseason

    1. Get Zach Wilson Some Help

Zach Wilson was pretty much thrown to the wolves this year. Not a lot of help on the line (besides Mekhi Becton) or any of his receivers. His number one wide receiver going into the year was Jameson Crowder, who was out for weeks during the year, and Elijah Moore was an unproven rookie that came out of nowhere until he got hurt late in the year. The New York Jets have $48 million to play with in free agency to help him out.

    2. Use the Top 10 Draft Picks

The New York Jets have their own pick at four and the Seattle Seahawks pick at ten. The Jets need help on both sides of the ball and they can’t really go wrong with their picks. Not a lot of depth in the draft this year, so the early picks are going to pay off more.

    3. Trust Robert Saleh

Robert Saleh was a good defensive coordinator in San Francisco and that landed him this job. The Jets are keeping him (it looks like) for the 2022 season. Saleh showed some potential in his first season at the helm, expect some improvements going forward.
