The Buffalo Bills were 13 seconds away from going to their second consecutive AFC Championship game. Then, bad play calls all around happened and the Bills lost in OT without having to touch the ball. That image of Josh Allen sitting on the bench after the game will be engraved in all Bills fans’ memories for a long time. The Bills need to make some moves before the start of next season to get over the hump.

Here are three things the Buffalo Bills must address during the 2022 NFL Offseason if they want to take the next step.

3 Things the Buffalo Bills Must Address in the 2022 NFL Offseason

1. Playcall the Defense Better

The 13 seconds to end the Divisional Round were some of the worst plays the Bills could have called. Leslie Frazier did not get a head coaching job this offseason, so he will be back as the defensive coordinator. Learn from your mistakes in the past and don’t make them again. Buffalo will be fine if they learned not to do prevent defense in that situation again.

2. Make Some Tough Decisions In the Name of the Cap

The Buffalo Bills are over the cap by $4 million at the time this is being written. Some players could be restructured or cut. Players that have been rumored are Cole Beasley and Matt Haack. The Bills are right there to get over the hump, and making room in the cap would be a good start.

3. Trust The Process

The saying that has gone around Buffalo, “Trust the Process,” may be stolen from the Philadelphia 76ers. Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have changed the culture in Buffalo. For 17 years, this team did not make the playoffs, and now they have made four of the last five. The Bills are set to compete for years to come and Bills fans should know this.
