When looking at the Ashton Jeanty NFL Draft profile, the question arises of where the talented Boise State alum will end up. It is no secret that Jeanty is not only one of the most talented players in the draft, but one of the most talented college running backs of all time. Coming off a season that saw him record 2,600 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns, Jeanty will be the top running back selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With that being said, here are three potential Ashton Jeanty NFL Draft landing spots.
Ashton Jeanty NFL Draft Landing Spots
Las Vegas Raiders
With the sixth overall pick in the draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have an opportunity to take a franchise-changing player. In the offseason, they went out and picked up both Pete Carroll and Geno Smith. Now, they have a chance to add to that bundle with an Ashton Jeanty draft pick.
As it stands, the Raiders currently have Raheem Mostert, Sincere McCormick and Zamir White in their running back rotation. Bringing in Jeanty will instantly give the Raiders a starting, work-horse back. In an offense that is lacking play-makers outside of Brock Bowers, Jeanty would instantly improve one of the worst offenses in the NFL. We know that Mark Davis values play-makers over actual spots of need, so the Raiders are certainly a major landing spot for Jeanty.
Chicago Bears
With the addition of Ben Johnson as head coach, the Chicago Bears have started to pave the way to really having their name mentioned among the best offenses in the NFL. Caleb Williams is set to take major steps in his second season and will surely improve his play if given consistent play at the running back position.
D’Andre Swift averaged just 3.8 yards per carry last season. While some of that is due to offensive line play, having a game-changing back who can average over 4.5 yards per carry will work wonders for Williams’ development. While Jeanty is certainly a different player than both Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, we saw both players succeed in Johnson’s run scheme in Detroit. Can we see something similar in Chicago?
Dallas Cowboys
When looking at the first round of the NFL Draft, it seems more and more likely that Jeanty will be drafted within the first seven picks. With that being said, it is really hard to believe that he falls any further than 12. If Jeanty is somehow available at 12, the Dallas Cowboys will be salivating. While their offensive line needs a ton of work, the Cowboys currently employ Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis at the running back position. Getting Jeanty instantly gives them a three-down back that they can rely on if Dak Prescott struggles or gets injured again this season.
We know that Jerry Jones will do everything to get as many eyes as possible on the Cowboys. Bringing Jeanty in will certainly raise the morale around the Cowboys, even if the offensive line is not there to support him.
