Part-time SRX Racing Drivers

Helio Castroneves

The four-time Indy 500 champion returns to the SRX Racing Series for the second season. This time though, due to him being a full-time Indycar driver this season, he will drive at three races in South Boston, Stafford and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Josef Newgarden

The Penske driver who has won the 2017 and 2019 Indycar champion will make his SRX debut this season for one race. Newgarden will drive the 2 car at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Ernie Francis Jr

The race winner at IRP and second place points finisher in Ernie Francis Jr. will take a step back and only race in two races for the series this season. The Indy Lights season would’ve caused some contractual issues so for now he is listed to race at Five Flags Speedway and South Boston.

Tony Kaanan will be racing every race for the SRX Racing Series except for the Stafford race. He hopes to do better than his best of seventh of last year.

Matt Kenseth
