The NASCAR Xfinity Series finale will be this Saturday. This race will determine who will be raising the Xfinity Series Championship. The race is called the Xfinity Series Championship race, with no sponsors (besides Xfinity because they are the title sponsor). Three Junior Motorsports drivers and one Joe Gibbs Racing (or Ty Gibbs Racing if you are Noah Gragson) will battle it out for the championship. It should be a hot Saturday afternoon in the desert to determine a champion.

The following article offers up a preview of the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship race. Insight on each of the four drivers contending for the 2022 series championship and a prediction for who will hoist the big trophy is included.

2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship 4 Drivers

Noah Gragson | No. 9 JR Motorsports

The driver who is the favorite to win the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship. Noah Gragson won eight races this season and that includes four straight to start the playoffs. Gragson made it to the Championship 4 last season, but a late race mistake put him in the back and he could not rebound. Gragson won his way to the next round in both the Round of 12 and Round of 8. Can Gragson learn from his mistake and get the job done to raise the trophy?

Ty Gibbs- No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing

Ty Gibbs is coming off a win at Martinsville, but it came at the expense of his current teammate Brandon Jones. Gibbs has six wins on the year as he dominated to the start of the 2022 season as he won three of the first seven races. Gibbs cooled off towards the middle portion of the season but still earned wins at Road America and Michigan. Gibbs was still able to point his way into the Round of 8 and would’ve pointed his way into the Championship 4 even if he didn’t win Martinsville. Can Gibbs escape the negative energy in the media and secure his first Xfinity Series Championship?

Justin Allgaier- No. 7 JR Motorsports

The Driver with more starts than the rest of his competitors combined at this track (24 for Allgaier compared to 11 for the other three). Justin Allgaier finds his way back to the Championship 4 for the fourth time in his career. His best finish in the points under this format is 2nd in 2020. Allgaier Was able to win three races on the year but hasn’t won since New Hampshire 14 races ago. Allgaier was able to point his way through the playoffs to find himself here. Can Allgaier finally find himself lifting up the Xfinity Series championship for the first time in his career?

Josh Berry- No. 8 JR Motorsports

Josh Berry finds himself in the Championship 4 for the first time in his career in his first full-time season in the Xfinity Series. Berry won two races in the regular season (Dover and Charlotte). He was able to point his way into the Round of 8 and won the first race of the round at Las Vegas to clinch his spot into Championship 4. Can Josh Berry get the job done and win the Xfinity Series Championship in his first full-time season?

Who Will Win the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship?

The Xfinity Series championship can be won by any of these drivers. The toughest road will probably be Ty Gibbs as he has not been the cleanest driver in the field so other drivers are going to race him tough. So the three JR Motorsports cars should have an easier task. It is hard to go against a driver who has won eight times in a single season. You can not bet against Noah Gragson.

    Championship Winner Prediction: Noah Gragson
