Strengths
Zach Charbonnet is a physical, downhill runner that can make opposing defenders miss while also running through them with force. He provides impressive build-up speed when running outside and will make defenses pay when he gets a full head of steam. Charbonnet’s strong build allows him to pick up blitzing defenders well. Aside from the run game, he provides excellent value as a third-down option in the passing game and has a rather large route tree for a running back.
Weaknesses
While Charbonnet’s strong decision-making when running between the tackles is apparent, his instincts tend to hurt him. His below-average instincts on inside runs coupled with his below-average quickness and acceleration could severely limit his abilities in the NFL as a full-time starter but the potential to be a three-down back is still there for his all-around effectiveness.
