This Thursday at noon on Peacock, the WWE will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE is set to host the annual pay-per-view event in the Middle East, otherwise known as Crown Jewel. With nine matches on the card, this show should deliver plenty when it comes to entertainment value. However, behind the scenes, it is actually a pretty controversial event. Nonetheless, the following lays out the WWE Crown Jewel start time, match card and predictions for Thursday afternoon’s wrestling action.

WWE Crown Jewel Match Card and Predictions
Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar
The rematch is finally here. Not only does Brock Lesnar return to a WWE ring for a match for the first time in 18 months, but we get to see him face Roman Reigns for the seventh time. This is the Crown Jewel match that WWE is betting on to help draw people to their product. The Paul Heyman angle is the perfect way to help build this. Now, Reigns has to watch out for the Heyman double-cross. Look for Lesnar to get both his manager and the title back.
WWE Picks: Brock Lesnar
WWE Championship Match: Big E vs Drew McIntyre
This match does not make much sense as of right now. Theoretically, if Drew McIntyre wins, SmackDown will have two world titles and RAW would have none. I don’t see that happening, but Brock Lesnar is a free agent fighting for the Universal Championship and could give McIntyre a chance if played correctly. It’s tough to see WWE wanting to go down that road though, and RAW will keep the WWE title.
WWE Picks: Big E
SmackDown Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match: Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks
This is the final time we will see these three women share the ring together for a while as Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair were drafted to RAW and Sasha Banks is set to stay on SmackDown. These three have put on fantastic matches when facing each other one-on-one in the past. This triple threat should be even better. It’s hard to envision Banks winning with Charlotte coming over from RAW and bringing the championship with her. WWE will probably switch the SmackDown and RAW Women’s titles. One of the two new RAW stars will walk out with the championship.
WWE Picks: Becky Lynch
No Holds Barred Match: Goldberg vs Bobby Lashley
Goldberg returns to Saudi Arabia where he had an absolutely horrible match the last time there. He is hoping for redemption this time around for more than just himself. Bobby Lashley hurt Goldberg’s son at SummerSlam and since then, Goldberg has vowed to get revenge. He will finally get his hands on The Almighty One in a match where he can use any weapon he wants. That being said, the Hurt Business will outnumber Goldberg and help Lashley win.
WWE Picks: Bobby Lashley
Hell in a Cell Match: Seth Rollins vs Edge
The presumptive final match of this rivalry ends inside Hell in a Cell. Seth Rollins has tortured and injured Edge to the point where Edge has asked for the cell. These two are going to go all out and do everything they can to get the win. Of all the WWE betting matchups on the Crown Jewel card, this one might be the toughest to call. It could very well go either way, but in the end, only one man will get the victory.
WWE Picks: Seth Rollins
Raw Tag Team Championship Match: RK-Bro vs AJ Styles & Omos
This rematch from SummerSlam will take place halfway across the world from Las Vegas, the location of that first title match. The fact that AJ Styles and Omos are still together is somewhat surprising. It is also noteworthy that a mountain man like Omos is a WWE betting underdog in this matchup. Usually, WWE breaks up the tag teams soon after they lose the titles. That is probably what will happen Thursday in Saudi Arabia.
WWE Picks: RK-Bro
King of the Ring Tournament Final: Finn Balor vs Xavier Woods
The finals for the first King of the Ring Tournament in two years will take place at WWE Crown Jewel. Finn Balor returned to the main roster this year from WWE NXT and even earned himself a Universal title opportunity at Extreme Rules last month. On the other hand, Xavier Woods has been with his New Day brethren, Kofi Kingston the whole year. It is time to give him a singles push.
WWE Picks: Xavier Woods
Queen’s Crown Tournament Final: Zelina Vega vs Doudrop
The first-ever Queen’s Crown Tournament Final will take place in the country where women were not allowed to compete at this event up until just two years ago. Doudrop is now out of Eva Marie’s shadow and has earned her spot in the finals. Zelina Vega is getting her push after asking for a title shot and never receiving it. This match should be a squash though.
WWE Picks: Doudrop
Men’s Singles Match: Monsoor vs Mustafa Ali
Monsoor returns to his home country of Saudi Arabia to fight Mustafa Ali. Monsoor tried to be friends with Ali, but Ali was not having it. That is pretty much the gist of this rivalry between former tag team partners. That being said, no way does Monsoor lose as a massive WWE betting favorite in his home country.
WWE Picks: Monsoor
