Elimination Chamber is this Sunday. For the first time ever, seven men will compete inside the Elimination Chamber rather than the usual six. Also for the first time ever, there will also be a women’s elimination chamber match. For now, I want to address on why Roman Reigns is the best possible candidate to win the match.

He is the top baby face in WWE right now

Roman Reigns, without a shadow of a doubt, is currently the top baby face in WWE. He garners the loudest reaction, whether it’s a boo or a cheer, in the arena. With Brock Lesnar portrayed as a heel, WWE needed a baby face to complete the “Heel vs. Baby Face” formula that they usually use in a Wrestlemania main event. Roman Reigns fits the category perfectly. He is a baby face and currently the most consistent wrestler on Raw. His work rate is top notch, arguably second only to Seth Rollins. Moreover, it is believable that he can beat Brock Lesnar inside the ring, given his looks.

He currently doesn’t have any sub storyline for Wrestlemania

Of all the wrestlers that compete in the men’s elimination chamber, he is the only one without a sub story. John Cena has a sub story of going to Wrestlemania and currently has a beef with Elias. The Miz is the Intercontinental Champion and will be expected to defend his championship. Seth Rollins is projected to face the winner of the Wrestlemania’s clash. Finn Balor and Braun Strowman most likely will face The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, given how often these three clash. This leave Roman Reigns. If the WWE gives Roman Reigns a different story besides the chamber, it will feel rushed.

It can be a potential heel turn pedestal for him

This is just a little dream of mine. Roman Reigns, after facing Brock Lesnar, becomes Paul Heyman’s new guy. Imagine that, suddenly you have a heel with top class looks and work rate plus Paul Heyman’s charisma. And if the rumors are true that Seth Rollins will face the winner of the Wrestlemania’s clash, you got yourself a perfect main event for backlash. It’s killing two birds with one stone, except it’s not a stone, but a rock as big as Dwayne Johnson.

That’s why I think that Roman Reigns is the perfect candidate to win the Elimination Chamber.
