Week 6 Fantasy Football Streamers at TE

Cameron Brate, TB (vs GB)

Cameron Brate is only owned in about 3% of ESPN leagues. With OJ Howard on IR, Brate will immediately step up. Brate, who has made a career out of being a receiving tight end, should see plenty of work this week. It seems like Rob Gronkowski is being used as a run blocking option, which opens the door for Brate to thrive. Green Bay has been notorious to give up points to opposing tight ends, and I expect that trend to continue here. With Chris Godwin coming back, it’s likely that there will be less eyes on Brate, which can lead to a big fantasy day. He is among the best streamer options at tight end.

Darren Fells, HOU (vs TEN)

Darren Fells has seemed to become a favorite target of Deshaun Watson. Not necessarily in terms of targets, but in terms of safety. Fells is a reliable target for Watson, when down in the red zone. Jordan Akins, the other tight end in Houston, has been dealing with some injuries, which can open the door for Fells to see opportunities again this week and be worth a look as a TE streamer. If Akins is in fact out this week, Fells should be an offensive weapon in a major divisional matchup against Tennessee this week. With Watson making plays, running around in the pocket, doing what he does best, he just may find Fells a couple of times as a safety blanket.

Irv Smith Jr., MIN (vs ATL)

Irv Smith Jr. is an interesting play this week, as he is matched up against a horrid Atlanta defense. Smith was on the field for 59 snaps last week, splitting snaps with Kyle Rudolph, but based on Minnesota’s thoughts of trying to expand his role, we can assume that Smith will be featured in this game. Last week, Smith had a mini breakout game, with four receptions for 64 yards. What better defense is there to continue a hot streak against than the Atlanta Falcons? Look for Minnesota to put Smith into favorable matchups this week, making him a sneaky streamer this week.
