QB: Matthew Stafford

FanDuel – $8,500

DraftKings – $6,500

Plenty of people will be on Deshaun Watson this week with a nice matchup at home versus Cleveland, but game flow could potentially hurt his upside. Instead I am looking to pay slightly more for a guy in a better matchup and an even higher ceiling. Matt Stafford loves playing in domes and he will be headed down to New Orleans to take on the 29th ranked pass defense, who have been getting lit up by QB’s for the past several years. This game has extreme shootout potential and it has the highest over/under on the slate, so we should be in for a high scoring affair. As a 4.5 point underdog, the Lions are expected to be trailing, giving Stafford even more opportunities to sling the rock and rack up the fantasy points against this horrendous secondary.

RB: CJ Anderson

FanDuel – $7,000

DraftKings – $6,600

For whatever reason, CJ Anderson is still priced incredibly low on each site. For a guy that has gotten at least 20 carries in three out of his four games, this is a very good value. Not only has Anderson had a hefty workload in these games, he has been quite productive when he gets the ball, averaging a respectable 4.5 YPC. CJ finds himself in a juicy matchup versus the disheveled Giants, who rank 29th against the run and have just suspended Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, which will help open up the field and allow the Broncos offense to move with ease. The Giants also have several injuries on the offensive side of the ball, with basically their whole receiving core going down last week, meaning they will struggle to stay on the field. I expect the Broncos to completely control the tempo of this game and pound the rock with CJ Anderson against this soft Giants rush defense.

WR: Golden Tate

FanDuel – $7,600

DraftKings – $6,800

If you couldn’t tell already, I love targeting the Saints in DFS. With an absolutely abysmal defense, it is so easy week in and week out to pick against them. Tate this week is expected to be lined up Kenny Vaccaro, who is the 84th ranked safety according to Pro Football Focus. Seeing him for a large amount of the game should allow Tate to post similar numbers to what he did last time he played them, where he recorded 145 yards on eight catches. Although Golden is off to a slow start to the year, I expect him to rebound in what in all likelihood will be an extremely high scoring affair.

TE: Ryan Griffin

FanDuel – $4,500

DraftKings – $4,000

Ryan Griffin is an absolute steal on both sites this week against the Browns. The Browns are the worst team in the league against tight ends, allowing them 333 yards and five touchdowns through their first five games. Although Griffin has not met expectations so far this season, he’s got a pretty good chance at surpassing them this week. I especially love this pick with the way Deshaun Watson has been playing; he has shown that he can command this offense and move the ball down the field. This is a great week to pay down at tight end with such good expensive options at all of the other positions.

D/ST: Broncos

FanDuel – $5,400

DraftKings – $4,000

As a Giants fan, it pains me to say this, but they are just terrible. The Giants struggled to move the ball offensively even before their entire receiving core got hurt in last week’s matchup with the Chargers. The Giants will be held without Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard, and Dwayne Harris. This means they will rely on Rodger Lewis as their top target. The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league, and against the struggling Giants, they should have their way in this one. It will be well worth it to pay up for this vicious Broncos defense.
