Dalton Schultz and Robert Tonyan were my number one and two streamers for Week 4, and both delivered big time. With Schultz being a mainstay on many people’s teams now, here are my best tight end options for Week 5 fantasy football streamers.

Week 5 Fantasy Football Streamers | TEs

Eric Ebron, PIT (vs PHI)

Eric Ebron is the ultimate “is it this guy’s week?” guy. This is the Eric Ebron week. With the Steelers coming off a forced bye, they should come out of the gates strong. The Philadelphia Eagles’ strong suit of their defense is their run-stopping ability. If this trend continues, look for the Steelers to abandon the run quickly and win through the air. It is likely that Philadelphia will try to key in on JuJu Smith-Schuster, leaving the door open for Ebron. Last week, Philadelphia surrendered 15 receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown to George Kittle. Now, Ebron is no Kittle, but he should see a decent workload this week, which can result in a major fantasy day. If you need help at tight end, Ebron should be one of the top streamers at the position.

Chris Herndon IV, NYJ (vs ARI)

If you have been reading my articles, you know that I think the Jets are an absolute dumpster fire. I still think the same this week. They might get LeVeon Bell back this week, which can help jump start that offense, but the player that I am most excited about is Chris Herndon. With Joe Flacco at QB this week, it is likely that Herndon sees his share of targets, as Flacco has been known to rely heavily on short crossing routes and check downs. Look for Herndon to play off of the new parts of the Jets offense to cash in on a big week. Arizona is also notorious for giving up a major amount of points to tight ends in recent years. If this trend continues, which I think it will because Isaiah Simmons is not playing well, Herndon could be this week’s Robert Tonyan.

Ian Thomas, CAR (vs ATL)

Ian Thomas may be in for a big week this week, due to his matchup with Atlanta. We saw what Robert Tonyan did to Atlanta last week, and I can see the same thing happening this week with Thomas. Atlanta’s focus this week should be to stop Mike Davis and the rushing attack, which in result can play key factor into getting Ian Thomas open off of play action and short crossing routes. This pick is purely based on matchup as, Thomas is almost guaranteed to be available in your league. If you have an undefeated record and your TE1 is TJ Hockenson, you may be in a position to take a flier on Thomas for one of your streamers, which could once again result in a strong performance against a horrible Falcons team.
