Another week has passed, and with it, the class of valuable running backs in fantasy football has taken another hit. With players like Breece Hall and De’Von Achane getting injured and players like Omarion Hampton basically being schemed into irrelevance, it’s important to take the best replacements that others are overlooking on the waiver wire. We have highlighted all of the top fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 4, but that’s not necessarily the list of the best players to add and start this weekend.
Here are three Week 4 fantasy football RB streamers that you can plug into your lineup!

Brian Robinson Jr., Atlanta Falcons (21.6% owned)
He may be a handcuff, but he’s a mighty fine one who can be played this week. For as good as Bijan Robinson is, it’s clear the Falcons have a plan in place for him to limit touches and not run himself into the ground. Brian Robinson is more than capable of picking up the slack for Bijan, and he has been trusted with double-digit carries in two of the last three games. You can see a more detailed breakdown of workload in our Opportunity Index.
He doesn’t get much receiving work, but in games that Atlanta runs the ball at will, he will certainly see his fair share of carries. With the New Orleans Saints on deck and the team allowing the sixth-most rushing yards in the league, it’s hard to see a situation where Brian Robinson Jr. does not get double-digit targets and a fair shot at a touchdown for the third straight week.
Jaylen Wright, Miami Dolphins (1.7%)
Jaylen Wright missed his Week 3 game due to a stinger, and with De’Von Achane tearing his ACL, everyone and their mothers is going to be shooting for Ollie Gordon. While Gordon certainly does deserve all the attention he’s getting, many are overlooking Jaylen Wright. Regardless of Achane being out, Wright will certainly play a role in this offense moving forward, and he will be available for a fraction of the cost.
He isn’t the sexiest of Week 4 fantasy football RB streamers, but much of his lack of usage and production has been due to the massive role Achane has had early this season. Now that Gordon is the next man up and certainly won’t carry that kind of “workhorse” role, the biggest beneficiary of the injury may end up being Jaylen Wright. While the Miami Dolphins do play a blitz-heavy Minnesota Vikings team in Week 4, that should only open up the check downs underneath.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints (52.3%)
The running back landscape is pretty bleak already, but one name to not overlook is Alvin Kamara. He is not even close to the player he once was, and he likely never will be, but he does have an opportunity that few are paying attention to. Starting running back Travis Etienne looks like he’ll miss at least a week or two, which should open up the doors for Kamara to pick up some value while he’s out.
Kamara carries plenty of value with his ability as a pass catcher and even more with possible goal-line work going to him with Etienne out. The Saints have a better offense than most thought they’d have, and they won’t have a problem moving the ball next week against the Atlanta Falcons. This seems like a chance for Kamara to have another quietly solid game that most people are kicking themselves for not taking advantage of.
