Week 15 Fantasy Football Streamers at TE

Tyler Higbee, LAR (vs. NYJ)

Jared Goff has been notorious for destroying bad teams. The Jets are in the running for one of the worst teams in NFL history. This is a game where Goff should be able to work those quick throws to receivers that this Rams offense is created upon. This should open up the middle of the field for a big body to work. Tyler Higbee should be able to get behind the Jets’ linebackers and give Goff an outlet in case he finds trouble. Look for the Rams to get up big in this game and for Higbee to be used in goal-to-go situations. Higbee is very capable of finding the end zone in this matchup, making him a streamer candidate.

Irv Smith Jr., MIN (vs. CHI)

Irv Smith Jr. has become a part of this Minnesota passing offense, when Kyle Rudolph is out. He is a big, reliable target for Kirk Cousins to dump passes to. What is encouraging for Smith is that he recorded 63 yards and a touchdown on four receptions last week. Minnesota plays Chicago this week, who hasn’t played well against the tight end position this year. With all of the eyes on Dalvin Cook this week, it is inevitable that Chicago’s linebackers will cheat up on the run. This opens the door for Smith to thrive in the middle of the field. Minnesota should feature the young tight end in the red zone, because Cook is such a huge threat. With Kyle Rudolph still banged up, Smith makes a solid streamer.

Trey Burton, IND (vs. HOU)

Even though all three of the Colts’ tight ends are available, it seems like Trey Burton has become the favorite of Philip Rivers. Burton is an athletic tight end who the Colts feature as a gadget player, which is perfect for a TE streamer. Rivers has traditionally relied on his tight ends in divisional games. The Colts have an incredible matchup against the poor Texans this week. This is a game where Rivers should be able to sit back and find open receivers. Burton may be touchdown-dependent, but it can be a risk worth taking, because Indianapolis does use Burton in the red zone in a variety of ways.
