If you are unaware what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 13 survivor picks wisely.

With a 2-1 week, my record currently sits at 27-9 and 11-0 on locks. We are at the point in the season where most of the better teams are picked, so we will have to get creative and make our picks based upon matchups for the rest of the year.

Lock of the Week | Week 13 Survivor Picks

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have been the “cinderella” have the NFL this season. Riding their defense, the Dolphins have been able to garner seven wins. Ryan Fitzpatrick has put together a solid season as the quarterback of the Dolphins. This lock is really based off of the matchup, though. The Bengals struggled last week, resulting in a loss to the New York Giants. Without Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon, the Bengals’ offense has been poor, at best. Not sporting a great offensive line, Miami’s defensive line should be able to wreck havoc on Brandon Allen all day. Look for DeVante Parker to have a big day on the outside, as the Bengals are going to struggle to stop the passing attack. The Dolphins are a legit team, and even though this isn’t a sexy pick, it is one of the best matchups to survive another week.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 13 Survivor Picks

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are starting to get hot. They have gotten a couple of wins over mediocre teams and should continue that trend against a Jaguars team that looks terrible. The glaring weakness of this Vikings team has been their passing defense, but matched up against Mike Glennon, that shouldn’t be a worry. This seems like a game where Dalvin Cook will start the game hot and Minnesota will conserve him in the second half. Other than James Robinson, the Jaguars don’t hold anything too scary on the offensive side of the ball. Since it seems like the Jaguars will get down early, Robinson won’t be a huge factor on the ground. Look for the Vikings to take down the Jaguars in a low scoring affair.

High Risk High Reward | Week 13 Survivor Picks

New York Jets vs. Las Vegas Raiders

I know what you’re thinking…. the Jets?!?! The New York Jets have to win a game this year to show some sort of dignity. With matchups against the Raiders, Seahawks, Rams, Browns and the Patriots, this seems like the best game that the Jets can win. This also looks to be a trap game for the Raiders and I do not think the Raiders are good enough to overlook someone and win. It’s likely that the Jets will move some of their higher profile players before the draft in April, so they will feature them in higher roles. This game will be played in the new stadium in Las Vegas, where the Jets shouldn’t have any outside forces acting on them to hinder their game. The Raiders will also be without Josh Jacobs in the backfield. Look for the Jets to pull the massive upset here.
