If you have a little uncertainty at the defense/special teams position, you may need to search the waivers to see who is available for a plug and play. These are the top Week 12 fantasy football streamers at DST that may be available for a pickup.
Joe Burrow is done for the season, thanks to a brutal knee injury. The Bengals were already 25th in terms of points allowed to defenses, and losing their starting quarterback is only going to make things worse. I have serious concerns for the Bengals offense without Burrow, and I would be streaming any defense that plays against them until proven otherwise. The Bengals O-line is allowing constant pressure and the Giants are 13th in the league in sacks. They have two or more sacks in every game this season. The Giants are also coming off a bye, making them a top streamer at defense for Week 12 fantasy football.
Over their last four games, the Bears are averaging less than 16 points per game. Vegas has this game at a 45-point over/under, and the Packers are nine-point favorites. That gives the Bears an implied point total of 18. Vegas doesn’t see the Bears scoring many points in this one, and I don’t either, based on how putrid the offense has looked recently. Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky are both dealing with injuries and it’s still unknown who is going to start. It’s always a good recipe to start a defense against a team with quarterback problems. I also like my defense attached to a good offense in order to take pressure off and put them in positive situations. The Packers are always a streamer candidate at Lambeau.

I couldn’t get through this article without making a Thanksgiving recommendation. Washington has been strong on the defensive side of the ball. This is going to be a competitive divisional matchup with playoff implications, and Washington is going to throw everything they have at Andy Dalton. Dallas looked much better last week against Minnesota, but I don’t expect that to continue. Washington should force some Dalton mistakes, and they are a better defensive team than Dallas saw last week. Washington is a solid, low-owned streamer to watch on Thursday.
