Usman Garuba NBA Draft Profile

Strengths

Usman Garuba is an intriguing prospect. He has played with Real Madrid since he was 17 years old. Garuba is a defensive specialist capable of banging down low against bigger opponents. Garuba is also quick enough to go up against smaller and faster opponents as well. When all else fails, Garuba will hustle to make the right play on defense.

Weaknesses

Garuba’s main weakness is that he lacks an identity on the offensive end. His passing provides some promise despite a lack of good assist numbers. Garuba’s lack of a developed jump shot will make it difficult for teams to use him as much more than to set screens and execute dribble hand-offs.
