Tyty Washington Draft Profile
Strengths
Tyty Washington should play a score-first role in the NBA. His optimal size for a guard gives him the ability to play both in and outside of the paint. His scoring really comes from when he is off the ball, as he’s very capable at hitting a pull-up jump shot coming off of screens. He also has shown ability in passing the ball, as proved by his 17 assists against Georgia. While dishing assists, Washington has also shown that he can take care of the ball, with under two turnovers per game. Washington has good strength for his size and an eye for the ball.
Weaknesses
Even though he has good size for a point guard, playing off of the ball may create problems with NBA size. With his great scoring ability, he may lack the quick first step needed in the NBA. Washington does not get much height on his jump shot, which may make three-point shooting difficult when closely defended. Playing with talent at Kentucky, Washington hasn’t really shown the ability to take over a game.
