The 2023 fantasy football season has been giving us some hidden treasures at the tight end position, with names like Sam LaPorta, Luke Musgrave, Jonnu Smith and Logan Thomas churning out impressive performances. However, the Tyler Conklin fantasy football performances shouldn’t be overlooked.

Since Week 2, Tyler Conklin has quietly delivered some consistency to the tight end position, ranking as the TE14 in PPR scoring during this timeframe. He has over 200 receiving yards in that span, which places him among a group of nine tight ends. Conklin has just been flying under the radar, posting more than 9.5 points in PPR leagues in three of his last four games. His chemistry with Zach Wilson has been undeniable, as Conklin has received five or more targets in every game that Wilson has started.
When you look at the matchup, you may shudder, as the Eagles have recently allowed the fewest number of points to tight ends in the last three weeks. However, if you look deeper into the stats, you find that none of those tight ends they faced in that period were targeted five or more times in that game. When you expand the stats to the full season, you can see that the Eagles allowed a tight end to have five or more targets in the first two weeks of the season and the results were rather favorable for those tight ends. Both tight ends saw over 55 receiving yards, scored a touchdown, and scored at least 15 PPR points. That trend also extends back to last season when tight ends targeted at least five times managed to accumulate over 60 receiving yards and more than 11 PPR fantasy points in the last two weeks of the 2022 regular season.
