Tennessee Titans Preview

Things could not have gone much worse for the Titans in their season-opener. Tennesse got ran right off their home field by the Arizona Cardinals. The upgrades made to the offensive side of the ball failed to come through. Critics were proven right, at least in the short term, with regard to the team’s defense. All told, it was a Week 1 performance that the team would soon like to forget. It undoubtedly played into this week’s line, as the Titans find themselves sizable NFL betting underdogs in this matchup.

The Titans looked so inept offensively that even superstar running back Derrick Henry could only muster 58 yards on the ground. The high-profile receiver duo of A.J. Brown and Julio Jones got outgained by Chester Rogers in Week 1. The real problem for the Titans proved to be the offensive line. Ryan Tannehill was under pressure on seemingly every play, something that will need to be addressed going forward. The Titans will have all they can do defensively to contain Seattle’s offensive attack this week.

Seattle Seahawks Preview

The Seahawks saw major NFL betting line movement in their favor ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Seattle rewarded their backers with a convincing road win. QB Russell Wilson shined bright with over 250 yards passing and four touchdowns through the air. Two of them went to Tyler Lockett who finished with 100 yards receiving on the afternoon. Chris Carson was also steady on the ground, totaling 91 yards rushing on 16 carries.

After having one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL a season ago, the Seahawks appeared to be much improved in this regard on Sunday. Seattle held Colts’ quarterback Carson Wentz to 251 yards passing and did not surrender more than 60 receiving yards to any player. Jordyn Brooks and Quandree Diggs each finished with seven tackles to lead the team. With the return of the 12th Man to the stands, expect the Seahawks’ defense to be flying all over the field once again in Week 2.
