The unthinkable has happened for Titans fans; Derrick Henry went down hurt. While he is projected to return for the playoffs, there is no guarantee a man of that size will bounce back quickly from a Jones fracture. However, the Titans signed future Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson to fill the void, so it certainly could be worse. Tennessee, and the rest of the league, will now see how good Ryan Tannehill is. Much more pressure will be put on him to make plays, and much of their success going forward will be determined by his ability to make those plays.
The Rams, on the other hand, are clicking on all cylinders. They may never draft on the first couple of rounds ever again, but it’s very clear they are pushing all of their chips to the center for this season. The trade for Matthew Stafford has very clearly paid off. Sean McVay is able to call plays he would only dream of a season ago. Now, we will see if the trade for Von Miller has the same effect on the defense.
