With the 22nd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Titans draft Caleb Farley, cornerback out of Virginia Tech. Among the cornerbacks in this draft Farley is for sure the biggest wild card. He has had an injury history with his back and sat out this past season due to COVID to protect his parents. The injury stopped him from participating in his pro day so he has not been seen in a football capacity since the 2019 season.

What to Expect From Caleb Farley in 2021

The Titans needed two positions badly in the 2021 NFL Draft, and the cornerback position is certainly one of them. Outside of Janoris Jenkins, the Titans don’t have much of any talent to put it, bluntly. With Jenkins’ injury history and problematic tendency to get burned often, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if Farley becomes the top corner for Tennessee by the end of the season.

While Farley hasn’t played the position for very long, he’s certainly proven he’s among the best among college prospects. If not for his injury history and raw talent due to him being an offensive player until halfway through his first year at Virginia Tech, he likely would’ve been a top-10 pick. If he can stay healthy, he could come into his own and become a top corner within two years if his current progression stays consistent.
