It’s obvious that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady sees something in wide receiver Antonio Brown. After all, Brady was the one who vouched for Tampa Bay to sign Brown on the team.

Brady has been resurrecting players by bringing them to Tampa ever since he was signed this offseason. With 2020 already being as wild as it is, let’s bring the true Antonio Brown back.

Brown’s Struggles

After Tampa Bay’s excruciating loss, where the Saints dominated 38-3 on Sunday night, it was difficult to see the intentions that head coach Bruce Arians has in Tampa Bay for Brown in his offensive scheme. It may have been the Saints’ commanding defense that withheld Brown from attaining any spotlight. Still, Brown caught three out of five targets for 31 yards, making his debut after what seems like a lifetime of absence.

Brown hasn’t been generating the same stats since he was traded by the Steelers in 2019 to the Raiders. Brown then was released by the Raiders before any games, then signed to the Patriots. There, he caught four out of eight targets for 56 yards and 1 touchdown in his lone appearance.

Antonio Brown Week 10 Outlook

Now, Week 10 is underway, the Buccaneers are preparing for a Christian McCaffrey-less Panthers, whose defense is ranked 24th in the league. This looks to be an easier matchup than the Saints’ third-ranked defense.

This may be the game that Antonio Brown breaks out. He’s had many obstacles, including an injury, to overcome over the years, and should take this opportunity to show out. He is trusted by one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. If you assume Brady is going to bounce back after last week’s embarrassment, then Brown will likely be a big part of that.

Buccaneers vs Panthers is Brown’s possibility to regain his credibility as a top wide receiver and legitimate fantasy option for this season.
