Texas A&M vs Michigan Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks
Texas A&M had a fairly easy game against Yale in the opening round matchup. In that game, the Aggies relied on big-man Pharrel Payne to work inside against a smaller Yale front court. Off of that superstar Wade Taylor was able to find space in the back court scoring 16 points, but only making one-of-six attempts on three-point shots. Working with Payne, Buzz Williams’ squad was able to win the game on the glass, taking in 35 rebounds to Yale’s 28. Given Michigan’s size, Texas A&M will struggle recreating their dominant inside game against Yale. That means that Taylor and the guards are going to have to be at their best when creating points.
For Michigan, they expectedly had a tough game against a good UC San Diego team, winning by three points. Even though this game was closer than many Wolverine fans would have liked, there were some positives. Vlad Golden looked good in the post, scoring 14 of Michigan’s 14 paint points. Danny Wolf needs to be better though for the Wolverines to reach their full potential. Shooting just 4/11 from the field is not good enough. Luckily for them, Texas A&M won’t provide as strong of an inside game as UC San Diego. Tre Donaldson will have has hands full with Taylor, so it will have to be Rubin Jones and Nimari Burnett that need to hit shots from the outside for the Wolverines to win.
While both of these teams are certainly star heavy, one thing almost always prevails in basketball – height. Michigan still employs the best one-two punch in the paint and will use that to take down the Aggies in this game.
For our Texas A&M vs Michigan prediction, we are picking the Michigan Wolverines to win and move on in the NCAA Tournament.
