Tennessee vs Louisiana Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks
After coming out of the gates strong, Tennessee limped across the finish line. The Volunteers won just five of their last 12 games, including a loss to Missouri in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament. While the defense of the Volunteers hasn’t been perfect, it’s often been the offense that has let them down.
Louisiana has been extremely consistent for most of the season. While they have had a three-game losing streak, and a small hitch where they lost three of four, they have been near-perfect outside of that. Louisiana’s offense puts up over 78 points per game this season. Forward Jordan Brown leads the way averaging over 19 points per game but Louisiana will need other players to step up as Tennessee will likely key in on him defensively.
For as bad as Tennessee has been down the stretch, they are clearly the better team. Their strength is their depth as they have four players averaging double-digit points. If Tennessee can just slow Jordan Brown, that’ll likely be good enough to get the win. With so many big bodies they are able to put on him, Tennessee should be able to keep the Ragin’ Cajuns in check. With that in mind, it’s hard to see Tennessee’s struggling offense helping them win by double digits.
