Projected Win Total

The Buccaneers over/under currently sits at 6.5, after they went 5-11 last season. With new head coach Bruce Arians, the Buccaneers should see improvement this year. Jameis Winston gets the full nod towards running the offense and will look to continue to air out the ball for the 2019 season.

Passing Game

QB: Jameis Winston, Blaine Gabbert
WR: Mike Evans, Justin Watson
WR: Chris Godwin, Scott Miller
WR: Breshad Perriman, Anthony Johnson
TE: O.J. Howard, Cameron Brate

It is looking like not much is going to change in terms of passing volume for this unit. With the coach addition of Bruce Arians, who is known to pass the ball, and with the underwhelming running back landscape, this unit is going to see lots of work for this season. This is being shown in drafts, as the top two receivers on this team, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, are both being drafted as WR8 and WR20, respectively. Godwin especially is receiving praise from his new head coach, with Arians calling Godwin “close to a 100-catch guy.” Tight end O.J. Howard is also bringing in lots of hype, as he is currently being drafted as the TE4. Getting them the ball is Jameis Winston, who has had an underwhelming career to this point, but has given us fantasy value in the past. He averaged 24.0 fantasy points per game last season, which was the tenth-most. Early in draft season, Winston is going as QB16.

Running Game

RB: Peyton Barber, Ronald Jones, Bruce Anderson
2018 OL Run Rank: 31st

It probably doesn’t take much thought to see that this run attack for the Buccaneers is underwhelming for both fantasy and reality. Currently, with Ronald Jones being drafted at RB37 and Peyton Barber being drafted as the RB46, this backfield may be one to stay away from. However, if Barber falls far enough, he could end up being a valuable bench addition for your team, since he is still expected to be the lead back, at least to begin the season.
