The Phoenix Suns took care of business in Game 2, but the series now flips to the homecourt of the Milwaukee Bucks. Will the rowdy Milwaukee crowd help the Bucks narrow the series, or will the Suns take a nearly insurmountable 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals? This NBA betting preview for the Suns vs Bucks Finals matchup will provide game info, betting trends, odds and a prediction for Game 3 of this series.

NBA Finals Game 3 (PHO Leads 2-0)
Phoenix Suns (51-21, 24-12 Away) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (46-26, 26-10 Home)
    Date: Sunday, July 11, 2021
    Time: 8 pm EST
Venue: Fiserv Forum – Milwaukee, WI
    Coverage: ABC

Game 2 was an interesting one. The post game report showed that Milwaukee’s quality of shots were much higher than that of Phoenix, and they should have finished at the rim at a higher percentage. The Suns also “were supposed” to miss more of the contested three-point jumpers than they did. However, the Bucks got the shots they did, the Suns hit 20-of-40 shots from downtown, and it led to a 10-point Phoenix win.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had an efficient second half, which led to a game-high 42 points and 12 rebounds. However, the Suns continue to look more than happy when Giannis has the ball. They would much rather lock down the other four players. Of course, this is easy to say when nearly every Giannis bucket was exchanged with a three-pointer on the other end.

The main story of Game 2 was Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton combining for only 28 points on 12-37 shooting. They must be better at home for the Bucks to win tonight.

    Bucks vs Suns Prediction

This NBA prediction uses NumberFire’s probability model. They give Milwaukee a 65.8% chance to win Game 3 of this NBA Finals matchup.

The Bucks are going to bounce back at home tonight. While the Suns were the best road team in the NBA, Milwaukee is been nearly unstoppable in their home games during this NBA Playoffs. Not only are they 7-1 straight up in home games this postseason, they have won by an average 13.4 points. The main difference in this game will be the Bucks’ backcourt, with Holiday taking over the game during stretches. Give me the Bucks -4 all day long.
