The NBA Play-In Tournament has arrived. The Eastern Conference games took place last night. Now, we can turn our attention to the opening games in the Western Conference. This NBA betting preview for the Spurs vs Grizzlies matchup will provide game info, betting trends, odds and a prediction for this NBA play-in matchup.

Spurs vs Grizzlies Betting Preview and Prediction | NBA Play-In Tournament

San Antonio Spurs (33-39, 19-17 Away) vs. Memphis Grizzlies (38-34, 18-18 Home)
    Date: Wednesday, May 19th, 2021
    Time: 7:30 pm EST
    Venue: FedExForum- Memphis, TN
    Coverage: ESPN

In a word, the San Antonio Spurs are “LUCKY” to be in this NBA Play-In Tournament. The Spurs are on a four-game losing streak and are 2-8 in their last 10 games. The losses during the last 10 games were to the Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz (twice), Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns (twice). The Spurs did manage to thump the Milwaukee Bucks, but for the most part, this team has shown that veteran leadership is not enough to win games against better teams. Is it enough to beat an upcoming Grizzlies squad?

The Memphis Grizzlies are 6-4 in their last 10 games. Their final loss of the season came at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. The entire game was not very competitive, but give credit where it is due, because the Grizzlies did push back quite a bit after going down 20 to the Warriors. Overall, the Grizzlies need to prove they can make the next step in the Western Conference, and beating the San Antonio Spurs would help add to the confidence of their young stars.
