Should I Start Najee Harris in Fantasy Football Week 10?
Interestingly, the Packers’ defensive performance against running backs has been very parallel to Najee Harris. Pre-bye, they could not stop running backs, allowing them to flourish. Four of their five matchups resulted in a running back scoring at least 17.5 PPR fantasy points. Post-bye, however, the Packers’ defense has toughened, ranking among the teams that have given up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs over the last three weeks. In this span, they’ve surrendered just one touchdown, and no running back has surpassed 96 scrimmage yards.
Even more remarkable is their recent trend of holding running backs to under 35 scrimmage yards in the last two weeks, a feat achieved even when facing three running backs with at least 10 carries. None of them found the end zone or exceeded 33 rushing yards.
Both Najee Harris and the Packers’ defense have seen similar positive outcomes after their bye week. Even though it was suggesting a favorable matchup for Harris at first glance, a deeper analysis reveals a potentially more challenging task than initially apparent in Week 10.
