No player has been hotter in fantasy football than Tennessee Titans’ running back Tony Pollard. Over the last two weeks, Pollard has finished as RB1 and RB3, respectively. With over 240 rushing yards and five touchdowns during that span, he has been a complete game changer for all the owners who stuck it out with him.

Sell High on Tony Pollard | Fantasy Football Trade Value Week 9
There is a premium on running backs pretty much every season, but with the number of injuries this year, the premium has become even higher. That’s why it is the perfect time to get all you can for Tony Pollard.
While the usual thought process is to keep your studs and let them carry you to victory, there are plenty of reasons for Pollard to be someone you cash in on. Last week, Pollard’s trade value stayed about the same in our fantasy football trade value calculator. Check out the FlurrySports Playbook to see where his value rises to this week!
Looking at our fantasy football strength of schedule metric, the Titans have the fourth-toughest schedule for running backs for the rest of the season. With a bye this week for Tennessee, there’s no need to force a trade through now, but you should look to cash in before Week 10 hits. While the Titans have great matchups in Week 15 and Week 16, which is most likely during your fantasy playoffs, he has an incredibly tough schedule all the way up to the playoffs.
In return for Pollard, you can get plenty of value. Tony Pollard is currently RB22 in value, but there is no doubt you can sell him as a low-end RB1 to someone in need of running back help in your league. A good return for Pollard would be something like Jordan Mason and Rashee Rice. Rice has an average strength of schedule for wide receiver and, of course, has Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. As for Jordan Mason, he has the seventh-easiest strength of schedule amongst running backs. A lot of people may be worried about how he looked in his first game back, but there’s no reason. Neither Vikings running back was effective against the Detroit Lions and much easier weeks are ahead with matchups against Green Bay, Atlanta and Carolina coming up in the next few weeks.
Tony Pollard Fantasy Outlook
Tony Pollard is an incredibly underrated running back, but he’s still only scored in three games this season, even with touchdowns coming in his last two (per our Paydirt tool). While he does get 51% of his team’s opening drive touches, the Tennessee Titans are still a bad offense and even his heavy workload is going to be very come-and-go.
With 73.6 rushing yards over expected, Pollard ranks 10th amongst running backs. Although that doesn’t mean he can’t keep finding success on the ground, it would seem to indicate that he is overperforming currently. Again, with a ridiculously tough schedule on the horizon for the rest of the season, it’s tough to see him do anything but revert back to the performances he was putting up for the first six weeks of the season.
