JJ Redick headed to Philadelphia on a 1 year/23 million dollar deal:

JJ Redick has agreed to terms on a 1 year/23 million dollar deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. The deal was first reported by ESPN. The process is coming all together for the Sixers as they now position themselves to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Redick, 33, will be entering his 12th NBA season. He has played for Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, and most recently the Los Angeles Clippers. Last season, Redick averaged 15 points a game on 42.9% shooting from three ball territory. His three point prowess will no doubt improve this Sixers team. As a team last season they shot 34% from deep.

Redick took to Twitter to share his excitement on his move from LA to Philadelphia:

He will now join fellow teammates Joel Embid, Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, and potential 6th man of the year next season, Dario Sakic. The Sixers have been searching for a veteran presence for some time now to bring in and help guide this young team. Doesn’t look like the 76ers will stop here either, with more than $25 million cap space remaining to fill out the roster.

Will they add yet another veteran player? For the first time in some years, the excitement for basketball is back in Philadelphia.
