Two AFC West Division rivals are set to collide on Sunday for the second time in a one-month span. The first meeting between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs this season ended as a lopsided result. Despite that outcome, the two teams come into this Week 14 matchup separated by just two games in the standings. While the Raiders desperately need a win to keep pace in the AFC playoff race, the Chiefs have a chance to earn a key season sweep. The NFL betting odds list the home team as double-digit favorites ahead of this Raiders vs Chiefs showdown.

The following Raiders vs Chiefs NFL betting preview will give you the current odds, betting trends and picks for the Week 14 matchup, along with a stream link to watch games all season long.

Las Vegas Raiders Preview

In a way, it’s so fitting that one of the hardest teams to figure out from an NFL betting standpoint hails from Las Vegas. The Raiders have been struggling for the better part of the last month and a half now. Then again, there was that stunning win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day mixed in as well. Las Vegas failed to build on that momentum last week, suffering a two-point loss to the Washington Football Team courtesy of a made field goal in the final minute.

While the Raiders’ shorthanded defense played very well last week, Derek Carr and the offense went right back to their sputtering ways. Based on the majority of recent results, one has to believe that the 36-point outburst on Thanksgiving was possibly a fluke. The Raiders have struggled to sustain drives and were just 2-8 converting on third down again last week. The team’s top pass-catcher, tight end Darren Waller, has already been ruled out for Sunday’s NFL betting matchup. It will mark his second straight absence. Meanwhile, Las Vegas also lost RB Kenyan Drake for the rest of the season to a broken ankle suffered in last week’s game.

Kansas City Chiefs Preview

While the media continues to panic over the fact that the Chiefs’ offense has not returned to its pre-2021 form, Kansas City has quietly won five straight games coming into Sunday’s NFL betting divisional showdown. The defense deserves all the credit in the world for the recent success. Steve Spagnuolo has completely turned around a unit that began the year on pace to be one of the worst statistical defenses in league history. Trade deadline acquisition Melvin Ingram made his presence felt in last week’s win over the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs also forced three turnovers in the game. No opponent has scored more than 17 points and three have been held to single-digits during the Chiefs’ five-game winning streak.

Now, about that offense that continues to be out of sorts. Perhaps last week’s game wasn’t the best one to draw drastic conclusions on given that the Broncos have always tended to have a beat on Patrick Mahomes even in seasons prior. However, Mahomes continues to struggle with turnovers after throwing another interception last week. In Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs clearly have an advantage over a thin, talent-depleted Las Vegas secondary. Turnovers could give the Raiders life in Sunday’s game that they otherwise wouldn’t have. Of course, the first meeting between these two teams saw Mahomes have his best game of the season and the Chiefs drop 41 points in a blowout win.
