Pistons vs Celtics Prediction | NBA Betting Picks

In case it wasn’t clear to anyone by now, let’s set the record straight. The Pistons are bad. Like embarrassingly bad. What makes the current state of affairs in Detroit that much more disappointing is the fact that this is a team that has had high draft picks going back several years now.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are undefeated in the friendly confines of TD Garden this season and currently sit atop the Eastern Conference standings. Boston also comes in allowing only 107.1 points per game defensively at home this season.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the Celtics decide to play Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown tonight or if this game winds up providing the two stars with an extra day off. After all, one has to imagine that Boston can win the game without them. If they are in or out, playing under the current NBA betting picks total of 232 seems like the best option for this contest.

Given how much of a struggle it has been for visiting teams to score in Boston this season, it’s hard to be confident in the Pistons’ lowly offense. If the Celtics decide to rest their stars entirely or limit their minutes, the rest of the team could put forth an increased effort defensively.

It should be noted that projecting a lower-scoring affair also theoretically gives Detroit a better chance of covering the massive point spread.

Our NBA betting Pistons vs Celtics prediction tonight will be UNDER 232 at BetUS

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Boston a 95.6% chance to win this game outright.

Bet: Under 232 (-110 at BetUS)
