Philadelphia 76ers Free Agents

Here is a list of the players who are upcoming Philadelphia 76ers free agents that will either need to be re-signed or replaced.

  • Furkan Korkmaz, SG
  • Danny Green, SG
  • Gary Clark, SF
  • Rayjon Tucker, SF (RFA)
  • Mike Scott, PF
  • Dwight Howard, C

The real story this offseason for the 76ers will be what they end up doing with Ben Simmons. The 76ers are reportedly looking for a trade partner. Any deal involving Simmons and his massive contract will likely require a third team, which always complicates the trade process. Many fans are clamoring for Damian Lillard to be the focal point of a Simmons trade. Lillard and Joel Embiid would make for an unstoppable duo, but the likelihood of this actually happening is low.

Outside of the Simmons trade market, the 76ers would be wise to let pretty much everyone listed above walk in NBA Free Agency, except for Furkan Korkmaz, if they want a young sharpshooter off the bench. Free agent targets for the 76ers should include Kelly Olynyk (to replace Dwight Howard) and DeMar DeRozan (to replace Danny Green). Olynyk would provide minutes for Embiid and help the 76ers keep the floor spread. DeRozan is capable of creating his own shot, which will make him a valuable offensive piece to pair alongside Tobias Harris down the stretch in games.

Philadelphia 76ers Draft Targets

Josh Christopher

The Philadelphia 76ers should really have their sights set on Josh Christopher. He is an intriguing prospect who is capable to playing the 1, 2 or 3 at the NBA level. At 6-4, he certainly has the size to take on larger players on defense. His handles makes him a difficult player to match up with on the other side of the court.
