It was a relatively tame NFL Free Agency, but all 32 teams now have their attention directed toward the 2023 NFL Draft in order to add talent to their rosters. The first round of the draft is kicking off on Thursday, April 27th. Of course, draft analysis, projections and rumors will be dominating the NFL news until then. Strengths
At Northwestern, Peter Skoronski was a permanent starter at left tackle. However, given his length and skill set, he seems to be a bit versatile as he could slide down to guard at the NFL level. Skoronski is very technically sound. His hand placement is tremendous, his footwork is beautiful, and he knows how to use his body to win against larger defenders. He is rarely out of position and was clearly coached very well in college.
Weaknesses
While Skoronski does about just as good as he can do at offensive tackle, that may not be enough in the NFL. He just doesn’t have the length to compete with some of the freaks at edge rusher. Skoronki would have to be perfect to thrive in the NFL on an island at tackle, and that’s a lot to ask of anyone, even him.
