The Green Bay Packers elevated wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown from the practice squad just hours before their Monday Night Football matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Green Bay Packers Activate Equanimeous St. Brown for MNF
Brown was selected 207 overall in the sixth round by the Green Bay Packers in the 2017 NFL Draft. After showing flashes and positive signs throughout his rookie campaign, things have fallen off for St. Brown and the Packers. He did not play a single snap in the 2019 season thanks to an ankle injury, and was demoted to the practice squad in 2021 in order to make room for the returning Randall Cobb.
What Packers Fans Should Expect from St. Brown Tonight
So, what kind of expectations should Packer fans harbor now that Equanimeous St. Brown is once again a member of the 53-man roster? To be honest, probably not too much.
Since reeling in 21 receptions for 328 yards his rookie season, St. Brown has made just seven receptions for 117 yards. One of them, however, was for his first, and so far only, touchdown as a member of the green and gold.
Aside from some special team opportunities, St. Brown will likely have to enjoy this Monday Night Football spectacle from the sidelines.
