Nick Cross Draft Profile

Strengths

The biggest positive of Nick Cross comes in the stuff you can’t teach. Cross ran a 4.34-second 40-yard dash and has a 37-inch vertical. Add that to a long and strong frame, and you have the perfect body type for an NFL safety. He’s good at tracking deep balls in the air and also does well to race forward and blow up receivers if necessary.

Weaknesses

One of the most noticeable weaknesses in Cross’ game is that he is often late to help out in the run game. Cross also has tight hips, which makes it tougher for him to move laterally at the speed needed in the NFL. He also often resorts to dragging down people while tackling, which won’t work at the NFL level.
