If you are unaware of what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 15 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.

If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick.”

The lock of the week details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This would most likely be a good team that plays a bad team. The lock is also the official pick for NFL Survivor Pools, meaning we will not reuse a “lock.” My value pick of the week details a mid-tier team that has a good matchup. And finally, my high-risk, high-reward pick details a bad team that has a good matchup. It may be worth it to look at the NFL betting odds for these games and place some bets as well.

Teams Used:

  1. Baltimore Ravens
  2. Buffalo Bills
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars
  4. Kansas City Chiefs
  5. Detroit Lions
  6. Miami Dolphins
  7. Seattle Seahawks
  8. Philadelphia Eagles
  9. Cleveland Browns
  10. Dallas Cowboys
  11. San Francisco 49ers
  12. Tennessee Titans
  13. Pittsburgh Steelers
  14. Minnesota Vikings

Lock of the Week | Best Pick for NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 15

Los Angeles Rams vs. Washington Commanders

If you have been reading my NFL survivor pool picks over the last couple of years, you know that I am higher on Washington than most people. This week, that is not the case though. The Los Angeles Rams are on the rise right now and can certainly use an easy win to solidify their playoff chances. While no game is “easy” in the NFL, this is almost as easy as the Rams can get. With how bad Washington has been against the pass this year, I think Matthew Stafford and the boys can really have their way this week. That is the basis of my pick this week.

It was obvious that Cooper Kupp had been banged up over the last couple of weeks and had not performed to what we know he can. That looked like it all changed last week, as Kupp registered a 115-yard, one-touchdown performance against a good Ravens defense in the rain. This week, he gets the Washington Commanders, who have given up the most passing yards this season at 3,458. Add that to Puka Nacua having one of the best rookie receiving seasons of all time, and I don’t think the Rams have much trouble moving the ball this week.

Value Pick of the Week | Week 15 NFL Survivor Pool Picks

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots

It is odd putting the Kansas City Chiefs into the value pick of the week portion of the NFL Survivor Pool Picks article, but with how off they have been, especially with losses to the Packers and Bills, I think that it is hard to solidify them as a lock this week. The Chiefs currently sit only one spot ahead of the Denver Broncos for the lead in the AFC West. I think riots would start if the Broncos win the division. That makes me think that Kansas City is looking for a huge statement victory and who better to get it against than Bill Belichick?

In three career games against Belichick, Patrick Mahomes has passed for 871 yards and seven touchdowns with a 100.9 combined passer rating. It is safe to say that Belichick has not had Mahomes’ number, and I think that continues this week. While Belichick is known for taking away a team’s best option, I don’t think that will be Travis Kelce this week. While he was out last week, Isiah Pacheco has been running well this year. If KC can get the run game going, it is for sure going to be a long game for New England. With Pacheco being taken away from KC, that should spell great news for Kelce and the passing offense. With the Chiefs’ defense playing well this season, I think Kansas City has much more power on offense and should be able to control the ball against the Patriots this week.

High Risk, High Reward Pick of the Week | Week 15 NFL Survivor Pool Picks

Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers

Someone has to win the NFC South, right? The Atlanta Falcons have a really good chance to make strides this week, as the Buccaneers play the Packers, the Saints play the Lions and they get the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are the weakest out of the group. If Atlanta gets a win this week, they take the lead and are probably in line to win the whole thing. Going against the Panthers this week, the Falcons’ plan of attack needs to be getting Bijan Robinson involved early and often. The Panthers are 21st against the run this season, giving up 1,599 yards on the ground. If the Falcons are going to make a run at the playoffs, Robinson needs to be involved given his immense talent.

The Panthers’ problem is that they don’t seem to have much of an identity right now. Firing their coach mid-season and not having the strongest offensive line is a combination that has rarely worked for teams. With that bad offensive line, the Falcons defense has been solid at rushing the passer lately. I would imagine that the Falcons bring heat early to make Bryce Young uncomfortable.
