If you are unaware of what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 13 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.
If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick of the week.”
The lock of the week details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This would most likely be a good team that plays a bad team. The lock is also the official pick for NFL Survivor Pools, meaning we will not reuse a “lock.” My value pick of the week details a mid-tier team that has a good matchup. And finally, my high-risk, high-reward pick details a bad team that has a good matchup. It may be worth it to look at the NFL betting odds for these games and place some bets as well.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders as 13-point favorites. Over the past 12 years, the Chiefs have absolutely owned the Raiders, going 19-4. I expect that record to bounce up to 20-4 after this week.
This is a game where you don’t overthink it and take the better team. The Kansas City Chiefs are dangerously close to clinching a playoff spot and will take the next step this week. While the Raiders have not given up anything crazy in terms of passing yards this season, they have given up 20 passing touchdowns. I think that this can be a big game for both Travis Kelce and Noah Gray, as the Raiders have given up seven touchdowns to tight ends this year. With Aiden O’Connell starting for Vegas, I am not expecting the offense to be anything better than below average.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers
Don’t look now, but Tampa Bay is all of a sudden getting healthy and it comes at a perfect time against a divisional opponent. It feels like a fever dream, but Baker Mayfield is going back to Carolina in a revenge game. In three games against the Panthers, Mayfield is 3-0, with two wins coming after he left the team. You know that he wants to beat the team that gave up on him and I am not betting against that.
With how good the run game has been this season between Bucky Irving and Rachaad White, I think the passing game is going to be the one that wills the Bucs to a victory in this one. Mike Evans is healthy and like Mayfield has played well against the Panthers. He has recorded 77 or more receiving yards in seven out of the last eight games. The Panthers have given up 2,608 passing yards and 21 passing touchdowns this season.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants
I might be naive here, but I think the Dallas Cowboys win another divisional game on Thanksgiving. The Cowboys open the game as 3.5-point favorites and with the uncertainty surrounding the Giants quarterback room, I think that number should be higher. Drew Lock is set to get his first start in quite some time and seeing what the Cowboys defense did to Jayden Daniels last week, I think it can stay consistent this week.
As far as the offense goes, New York’s front seven has seemingly fallen off of a cliff since their hot to the season. I think that Rico Dowdle should be able to get going in this game, as the Giants have given up 1,628 rushing yards this season. That number ranks 28th in the NFL this season. If the run game gets going, Cooper Rush should be able to settle in and work with CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert to move the offense down the field.
