After two weeks of the NFL season, now is the time for the best overreactions. While these Week 3 NFL Power Rankings will rank with logic instead of overreactions, we can use this section above to be a little more… colorful.
With that in mind, I should let you know that your favorite team sucks. Well, unless you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan; the reigning champs are still good. Everyone else, however, cannot be trusted to do even the most simple tasks. The San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles all lost. These are very clearly the best teams in the NFC, yet they all fell short due to self-imposed mistakes.
For the AFC, who do you actually believe can beat the Chiefs? Honestly, it may be the Chargers, somehow, but that’s because they’d be on some Jim Harbaugh BS, and then they’ll turn around and lose against some nobody because they’re the Chargers.
Alright, now that you’re all pissy because I said your team sucks, let’s get to ranking them. Our weekly NFL Power Rankings will be released here on FlurrySports every Tuesday, so make sure to check them out every single week to see which direction your team is trending.
The first two weeks in the NFL have brought bad football, questionable officiating and injuries… so many injuries. Let’s take a look at where your favorite team (which sucks) ranks in the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings.

NFL Power Rankings For Week 3
1) Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1)
The Kansas City Chiefs did it again. Sure, the refs helped them out a bit at the end, but good teams always seem to make one too many mistakes against Kansas City (Bengals missed a PAT and lost by one). Isiah Pacheco is out until November, but the Chiefs have plenty of talent left, and Kareem Hunt may be back in town (hide your girlfriends).
2) San Francisco 49ers (2)
We knew the San Francisco 49ers’ offensive line wasn’t incredible at pass protection, but giving up six sacks is pretty incredible. The Niners also had a punt blocked, and Deebo Samuel got injured, joining Christian McCaffrey on the sideline. Yet, they only lost by one score. Will San Francisco ever win in Minnesota? It seems like no.
And even with the loss and the injuries, there isn’t a reason to overreact in the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings. Of course, not many teams look good right now either.
3) Detroit Lions (3)
The Detroit Lions simply did not play Dan Campbell football. They got away from the ground-and-pound and instead gave Jared Goff the opportunity to lose them the game. Never give Jared Goff the freedom to make mistakes. Still, this Lions defense looks good, and the offense will get back to business, so there is little reason to panic in Detroit. And yes, Aidan Hutchinson is an absolute animal.
4) Houston Texans (7)
The Houston Texans played down to their opponent’s level, which isn’t good. However, the Texans also have found a way to win two games without playing their best football. They won’t win many games committing 12 penalties, so that needs to get cleaned up quickly. Houston also needs to maintain a running game without Joe Mixon, if he is to miss some time. Still, this defense makes plays when it matters and CJ Stroud has a special connection with Nico Collins.
5) Philadelphia Eagles (5)
Jalen Hurts looked so much better this week compared to his performance in Brazil. The offensive line played better collectively as well, though there are still some things to work out on the interior. However, the Eagles didn’t generate a pass rush when it mattered most, allowing the Falcons to walk right down the field and take the victory from them.
This week’s matchup against the Saints will be very telling for both teams.
6) Baltimore Ravens (4)
The Baltimore Ravens fall to 0-2, and they also fall in the Week 3 NFL Power Rankings. Losing to the Chiefs is one thing, but this team is too good to lose to the Raiders. Baltimore needs to figure their offensive line out quickly — especially the right side of the offensive line. Unfortunately, the Ravens don’t have much time to do so. Baltimore’s next three opponents are the Cowboys, Bills and Bengals. These are three very tough games.
Only one team has started the season 0-4 and made the playoffs (1992 Chargers), so the Ravens need to find a win soon.
7) New York Jets (6)
It wasn’t pretty, but the New York Jets got their first win of the season. Aaron Rodgers made a few plays that nobody else in the league could make. However, the offense needs to get Garrett Wilson more involved and the defense needs to stop the run. And with Jermaine Johnson now out for the season, they also may need to give Haason Reddick a butt dial, at the very least.
8) Pittsburgh Steelers (9)
The Pittsburgh Steelers are not going to dominate opponents in every phase of the game. However, this offense will continue to get better and their defense is one of the best in the NFL. Not only with the offensive line get healthier, but they will get more comfortable in the Arthur Smith zone-blocking scheme. Once they can really establish the run, everything else gets easier. They should be in the conversation to win the AFC North.
9) Atlanta Falcons (10)
The Atlanta Falcons essentially waited until they lost the game before they decided to start playing, but that was just enough time to steal a win in Philadelphia on Jason Kelce night. This defense is talented, the offensive line will move bodies, and the receiving corps is good enough to compete with just about anyone. This team will go as Kirk Cousins goes. He was fashionably late on Monday night, but he showed up when it mattered, keeping them in the top 10 of our NFL Power Rankings.
10) New Orleans Saints (17)
I’m not confident the New Orleans Saints are a great football team, but I know they have a good offensive line and scheme. Hell, their two tackles were my favorite offensive linemen in their respective classes (Trevor Penning 2022, Taliese Fuaga 2024), so you know they have some absolute killers in the run game. This team will struggle to come from behind to win, but for now, they are enjoying getting the lead and leaning on the offensive line to finish the job.
