The Philadelphia Eagles toppled the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football in order to stay atop our Week 12 NFL Power Rankings. However, with terrible play around the NFL, and numerous backup quarterbacks asked to lead teams, let’s take a look at how the other 31 teams are ranked.
The 32 teams below are ranked both on where they stand and where they are projected to go. This means that the injuries of today do play a major factor. The NFL is a short season and every loss matters.
With that being said, let’s jump into the Week 12 NFL Power Rankings!
NFL Power Rankings For Week 12
1) Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week: 1)
The top-ranked team in our NFL Power Rankings got a massive win on Monday Night Football, earning themselves the top spot once again. It was far from perfect, but the Eagles have clear areas to work on that can be fixed prior to the postseason. They continue to play well overall, and Philadelphia has the deepest roster in the NFL.
2) San Francisco 49ers (3)
The San Francisco 49ers turned in another dominating performance this past week. Since their bye week, they have been performing on another level. Yes, getting healthier was incredibly important. However, the addition of Chase Young cannot be understated. When they play five defensive linemen, there isn’t an offensive line in the league that can consistently win. This upgrade was a Super Bowl-winning move. The only question is if they can stay healthy enough to see the mission through.
3) Kansas City Chiefs (2)
Andy Reid-coached teams typically play their best football following the bye week. However, the Kansas City Chiefs continue to look out of sync on offense. Losing to the Eagles by four points is far from an embarrassing loss. The Chiefs also likely would have won if Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught the ball. However, MVS drops those passes time after time, and this is the issue. The Chiefs continue to look for receiving weapons that can be relied upon. On top of the lack of talent, the receivers also don’t seem to have defined roles. There are plenty of questions the Chiefs must answer on offense very soon. If not, they’ll continue to slide in the NFL Power Rankings.
4) Baltimore Ravens (4)
Yes, the Joe Burrow injury helped them out. However, the Baltimore Ravens turned in a solid performance in their win over the Cincinnati Bengals. This win essentially locks up the AFC North for them, as long as they avoid major injury. If they stay healthy, the Ravens are capable of competing with anyone. Lamar Jackson is also avoiding contact for the most part, which will hopefully help him play his first full season of his career.
5) Detroit Lions (5)
It wasn’t pretty, but the Detroit Lions faced adversity against the Chicago Bears and overcame it. Jared Goff looked like the Jared Goff of old to begin this game, but he stayed steady and led Detroit from behind to win the game. Great teams find ways to win on bad days, and the Lions did just that. Now, they have a short turnaround to play on Thanksgiving against the Green Bay Packers.

6) Miami Dolphins (6)
While the Miami Dolphins completed over 70% of their passes, they have some trouble moving the ball at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. Of course, three turnovers are tough to overcome, though they did still get the win. Regardless, we continue to discuss the Dolphins not playing winning teams well, and they get in their own way too often as well. There’s no doubt that Miami has a ton of potential. However, they must run the ball better and protect the football in order to have a chance down the stretch of this season.
7) Jacksonville Jaguars (7)
Following their blowout loss to the 49ers, we said the Jacksonville Jaguars needed to right the ship quickly. They did exactly that against the Tennessee Titans, dominating from start to finish. Next week, the Jags face the Houston Texans. A win against their divisional foe could essentially lock up the AFC South.
8) Dallas Cowboys (8)
The Dallas Cowboys continue to beat the brakes off of bad teams. While it doesn’t tell us too much about them, they are at least focused enough to take care of business, which is more than most other teams in the league can say. Dallas now has a short turnaround to play on Thanksgiving against Washington, which should be another big win.
9) Cleveland Browns (9)
The Cleveland Browns are led by their terrific defense, especially after losing both their starting quarterback and star running back. Luckily, faced another team without a competent offense this week, barely beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cleveland defense is good enough to keep them in any game. Now, if Dorian Thompson-Robinson can unlock some of his discussed potential, the Browns do have a chance to be a disruptor in the AFC.
10) Buffalo Bills (11)
The Buffalo Bills’ inclusion in the top 10 of the Week 12 NFL Power Rankings does not suggest they are “back.” Rather, there are very few teams that are above average in the league right now. The Bills are a team I said had no chance to win the Super Bowl on the FlurrySports Podcast in the preseason. They lived up to those expectations, and they continue to be a disjointed team with talent. Unfortunately for them, their next three games are against the Eagles, Chiefs and Cowboys.
