As March comes to a close, it’s time to release the second edition of my 2025 NFL Mock Draft. With the draft’s month beginning tomorrow, we are officially in smokescreen season!
Teams will spread lies about players’ character, health, skill and more just to give themselves a better chance at drafting them. Could this fake news follow a player forever? Of course, but what if a team could get their draft stock to fall three spots? Then it’s all worth it! That’s business, baby.
The second edition of my 2025 NFL Mock Draft will again only be for the first round. Every team still owns its first-round draft pick, which is pretty rare. While there will be trades, we are not projecting them here. There could be cases where it seems like a player will be drafted at a specific spot but may not go to the team on the clock. I’ll let you know my thoughts along with the player selection.

Zach Brunner’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft 2.0
1 — Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward, QB, Miami
As more time passes, it seems like the Tennessee Titans could actually use this draft pick. However, regardless of the team on the clock, it seems certain that Cam Ward will be selected first overall.
Cam Ward is the most physically gifted all-around quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. While he has his share of issues, which are outlined in our Ward draft profile, he has all of the tools to be a franchise quarterback, as long as he has the right coaching.
2 — Cleveland Browns
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Cleveland Browns aren’t really in a position to rebuild, as a bad season likely leads to mass firings. For that reason, they could try to get a Kirk Cousins-like veteran. However, they’re also forced into needing a cheap quarterback option, and that could point them to drafting Shedeur Sanders at second overall.
No, they are not able to fully take advantage of the perks that having a rookie quarterback contract due to Deshaun Watson and Myles Garrett’s money. However, the Browns need to save money where they can while also trying to win in order to keep other players happy. Shedeur Sanders knows what it takes to turn a losing program around. If the Browns suck and they clean house, it also opens the door for Coach Prime to coach his son again.
3 — New York Giants
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
After signing not one, but two veteran quarterbacks in free agency (Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston), it’s clear the New York Giants know they must win this season in order for the front office and coaching staff to be back. So, the quarterback issue is addressed, for now. However, there are still plenty of needs for the Giants, with cornerback and wide receiver being two of them.
In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Giants kill two birds with one stone, drafting Travis Hunter to play both receiver and defensive back. With Malik Nabers in the mix, Hunter won’t be asked to play WR1. Instead, he will have certain packages on offense for the Giants while primarily playing on defense. Brian Daboll has a brain big enough to make this work.
4 — New England Patriots
Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Give Mike Vrabel some defensive weapons to play with, and watch him cook. Abdul Carter is probably the most talented player in the 2025 NFL Draft. The lone knock was his foot injury, but he apparently does not need surgery, so hopefully it is not something that lingers.
In a division with Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Fields, the Patriots need to get after that quarterback. Abdul Carter is in a league of his own in this class in that regard.
5 — Jacksonville Jaguars
Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
If you can get a top-tier three-technique, you need to pull the trigger. They simply do not grow on trees. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been terrible at getting after the quarterback, so this is a no-brainer pick.
In a division where the opposing offensive lines are questionable, at best, getting a game-wrecker on the defensive line is an easy way to stay competitive. Mason Graham has top-tier pass-rushing potential from the interior, and he has the strength to play the run as well.
6 — Las Vegas Raiders
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Many are projecting the Las Vegas Raiders to go running back here, but that really doesn’t make much sense for their team. Instead, they will draft the wide receiver who has been on record saying he doesn’t like to watch film (Pete Carroll will change that).
With Geno Smith at quarterback, the Raiders need a big, athletic outside receiver to throw to. In terms of skill, I don’t think there is another receiver that fits this need close to as well as Tetairoa McMillan. The offense has a long way to go, but it’s much easier to find a running back later in the draft.
7 — New York Jets
Armand Membou, OL, Missouri
The New York Jets will make the correct move of drafting an offensive lineman in order to protect Fields and clear some room for Breece Hall. However, they won’t take the best available. Armand Membou is still a very solid player who played well at tackle in college. However, it feels likely he will need to slide to guard in order to survive in the NFL. Will the Jets do that? Well, that’s very much up in the air.
8 — Carolina Panthers
Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
The Carolina Panthers need help all over their defense, but especially on the defensive line, getting after the passer. Jalon Walker gives them the best all-around player available. While I believe he is best at rushing the passer, he can back up and read the play as well.
9 — New Orleans Saints
Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
There is no bad defensive pick for the New Orleans Saints here, but I have them selecting the best edge rusher available in Mike Green. The Marshall product is the most polished edge rusher still available. Green is explosive on the edge, and his technique will translate to the pros.

10 — Chicago Bears
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Wisely, the Chicago Bears addressed their offensive line through a couple of fantastic trades. Now, Chicago can make a move that resembles when the Detroit Lions drafted Jahmyr Gibbs early. Ben McAdoo loved the success of that, and he will do the same with Ashton Jeanty.
After one of the best seasons in college football history, Jeanty will play alongside some fantastic offensive weapons for the Bears. He can also create a dangerous backfield with D’Andre Swift. Again, resembling the Lions.
11 — San Francisco 49ers
Will Campbell, OT, LSU
There currently is no plan after Trent Williams for the San Francisco 49ers, but Will Campbell gives them one. This season, Campbell can lock down the right side for San Fran, and then he will likely take over on the left starting the season after.
Will Campbell is one of my favorite offensive linemen in the draft (the Day 1s know my background). He has the build of an NFL tackle combined with great athleticism, which isn’t common nowadays. Campbell also has an attitude that aligns with the nasty Shanahan run scheme.
12 — Dallas Cowboys
Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
This is the first selection in my 2025 NFL Mock Draft where I am torn. Do I make the right pick, or do I get inside the mind of Jerry Jones? I opted for the latter. Jerry wants to keep the speedy, flashy Matthew Golden in Texas.
The Dallas Cowboys absolutely need another wide receiver weapon to complement CeeDee Lamb, and this pick serves that need. However, Dallas better stock up on picks in the trenches the rest of the way.
13 — Miami Dolphins
Kelvin Banks, OL, Texas
It is no secret that the Miami Dolphins need to do absolutely everything possible to keep Tua Tagovailoa upright next season. If they draft anything other than an offensive lineman with this pick, it is a fireable offense. Kelvin Banks Jr. played left tackle in college, but he projects better at guard in the NFL. Either way, it will give the Dolphins some needed talent and versatility.
14 — Indianapolis Colts
Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Indianapolis Colts need a tight end in this offense, and it looks like Jelani Woods will never actually be healthy. So, they take a great three-down tight end in Tyler Warren. This will give Anthony Richardson a rock-solid option in the middle of the field, and he can also help in the running game.
15 — Atlanta Falcons
Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
After passing up an edge rusher last season and then refusing to trade for one when it was clearly the team’s biggest weakness, they use a first-round pick on one here. They also keep Mykel Williams in the state of Georgia.
Williams does not appear to be the third-best edge rusher. The film and his production tell you that. However, his measurements and athletics have scouts drooling, and I don’t believe in the Falcons’ judgment. You will hear that he has top-tier potential. He probably does. Will the Falcons get it out of him? We will see.
16 — Arizona Cardinals
Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
It seems obvious the Arizona Cardinals will draft a defensive player, but it could be either a cornerback or a front-seven player. Given their division, stopping the run is of the utmost importance, and Kenneth Grant will certainly help with that.
Grant is a big boy who will control two gaps on the interior of the Arizona defense. It takes a special person to come from Gary, Indiana and be successful. He’s a fighter, and his attitude and power are both needed on this Cardinals defense.
17 — Cincinnati Bengals
Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
18 — Seattle Seahawks
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
19 — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
20 — Denver Broncos
Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
21 — Pittsburgh Steelers
Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
22 — Los Angeles Chargers
Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
23 — Green Bay Packers
Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
24 — Minnesota Vikings
Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
25 — Houston Texans
Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
26 — Los Angeles Rams
Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
27 — Baltimore Ravens
Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
28 — Detroit Lions
Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
29 — Washington Commanders
Nick Emmanori, S, South Carolina
30 — Buffalo Bills
James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
31 — Kansas City Chiefs
Tyler Booker, G, Alabama
32 — Philadelphia Eagles
Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
