For the second week in a row, NASCAR will be racing in the state of California. The sport will leave the picturesque setting of the Coronado Naval Base outside of San Diego and head north for wine country. Sonoma Raceway provides a beautiful backdrop in its own right and is set to host the stars of the Cup Series in the Toyota Save Mart 350 on Sunday afternoon. ,
This weekend’s race marks the final road course of the season. It also serves as the kickoff round for the 2026 NASCAR In-Season Challenge and the start of TNT Sports’ portion of the broadcast schedule. Sonoma Raceway’s twisting 1.99-mile road course brings elevation changes and technical braking zones unlike anything else on the calendar.

NASCAR Sonoma Weekend Schedule
General Tire 150 | ARCA Menards Series West
General Tire 150
Date: Friday, June 26, 2026
Start Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
Coverage: FloRacing
Distance: 93.53 miles (47 laps)
Defending Race Winner: William Sawalich
This marks the only road-course test of the year for the ARCA Menards Series West, a developmental series that has called Sonoma home in some form since 1978. Last year’s race produced the closest finish in Sonoma Raceway history across any NASCAR-sanctioned series, as William Sawalich held off Christian Eckes and Alon Day by 0.066 seconds after leading every lap.
With no Joe Gibbs Racing entry in this year’s field, Bill McAnally Racing appears to be in prime position to pick up a victory with Hailie Deegan and Mason Massey viewed as frontrunners heading into the week.
ARCA West practice and qualifying will kick off the NASCAR Sonoma weekend schedule on Friday with the race taking place later in the afternoon. The race can be streamed on FloRacing.
Pit Boss FoodMaxx 250 | NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series
Pit Boss FoodMaxx 250
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Start Time: 5:30 p.m. ET
Coverage: CW
Distance: 157.21 miles (79 laps)
Stages: Three (20 laps, 25 laps, 34 laps)
Defending Race Winner: Connor Zilisch
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series returns to the NASCAR Sonoma weekend schedule for the fourth consecutive year. Connor Zilisch was victorious in the Pit Boss FoodMaxx 250 a season ago for JR Motorsports. That organization figures to have a great shot at taking home the trophy again this year with both Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen slated to be in the field.
As for the outlook regarding the series regulars, Sonoma marks the first of six races remaining before the start of The Chase. San Diego created very little separation on the bubble in the points standings. Taylor Gray, Sam Mayer, William Sawalich, Brent Crews and Rajah Caruth all enter this weekend separated by 37 points. Only three of them can make The Chase.
Both practice and qualifying for the O’Reilly Series will take place on Friday with the race itself set for the Saturday portion of the NASCAR Sonoma weekend schedule.
Toyota Save Mart 350 | NASCAR Cup Series
Toyota Save Mart 350
Date: Sunday, June 28, 2026
Start Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Coverage: TNT
Distance: 218.9 miles (110 laps)
Stages: Three (25 laps, 35 laps, 50 laps)
Defending Champion: Shane van Gisbergen
The main event of the NASCAR Sonoma weekend schedule carries extra weight this year as Round 1 of the 2026 In-Season Challenge. Points leader Tyler Reddick had his advantage over Denny Hamlin further reduced at San Diego, but he is the No. 1 seed as far as the 32-driver bracket is concerned.
Shane van Gisbergen will be highly motivated to replicate his victory here from a year ago given how his race at San Diego last week ended. With this being the final road course on the schedule this year, drivers who excel in this discipline will need to go all-out to maximize their points gained in the standings.
As far as local flavor, Kyle Larson, a Northern California native who grew up roughly 80 miles from the track, has enjoyed great success at Sonoma — he’s a two-time winner here with the most recent victory coming in 2024. Daniel Suárez joins Larson and SVG as the short list of active drivers to win at Sonoma in the Next Gen era.
NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying take place Saturday afternoon on truTV with the race being broadcast on TNT.
