The starting lineup for Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway is officially set, giving us a clearer picture of how this race could unfold. While the NASCAR qualifying results always play an important role, this weekend presents a shift back to an intermediate track after consecutive short-track races.
Kansas has a tendency to allow drivers to move through the field over the course of a run, placing greater emphasis on overall pace and race-day setup rather than just starting position. That said, beginning at or near the front is still a clear advantage, and one manufacturer appears to have the upper hand based on Saturday’s practice and qualifying.
The following shares the official starting grid for Sunday’s race, along with Kansas Speedway track details and key observations from NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying. If you are playing some fantasy today, make sure you check out our NASCAR fantasy picks for the AdventHealth 400!

Official AdventHealth 400 Starting Lineup
Tyler Reddick just can’t seem to stop winning. He already has four NASCAR Cup Series victories this season, and now he can add the pole at Kansas to his résumé. A qualifying lap of 29.142 seconds (185.300 mph) was enough to secure the top starting spot for the AdventHealth 400.
This marks Reddick’s third pole of the 2026 campaign, further reinforcing the No. 45 car as the class of the field from a qualifying standpoint. Sunday will be the eighth time in nine races that he has started inside the top 10.
Denny Hamlin will start alongside him on the front row as Toyota once again flexed its muscle in qualifying. His lap of 29.161 seconds (185.179 mph) was just 0.019 seconds off the pole. Reddick and Hamlin were the only two drivers to eclipse 185 mph in qualifying.

NASCAR AdventHealth 400 Practice and Qualifying Notes
- In addition to securing the front row, Toyota also scored two additional top-5 positions in the AdventHealth 400 starting lineup. Ty Gibbs will start third and Chase Briscoe in fifth.
- Defending winner Kyle Larson was the top non-Toyota in qualifying. He will start fourth as he looks to win in the Cup Series for the first time since this event last year.
- Spire Motorsports put together a strong organizational effort in qualifying. Carson Hocevar (sixth) and Daniel Suarez (ninth) will both be in the first five rows on the grid.
- Toyota thoroughly dominated from a speed standpoint in practice with each of the top-5 single lap speeds hailing from the manufacturer. Tyler Reddick led the charge at 182.685 mph.
- 23XI Racing also nailed down the best ten consecutive lap average speed in practice with Bubba Wallace posting 178.705 mph.
- Trackhouse Racing really struggled in the NASCAR qualifying results. While Shane van Gisbergen was able to nab the 17th starting position, former Kansas winner Ross Chastain and rookie Connor Zilisch will both be starting outside of the top-30.
- Driving a fourth 23XI Racing car this weekend, Corey Heim will start 23rd in his third Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.
