NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Four Prediction and Preview

Corey Heim- #11

Corey Heim earned his way into the Championship Four with his win at Bristol Motor Speedway all the way back on September 14. For over a month, his number 11 Tricon Garage has been getting prepped for this race. Corey Heim coming into this race has won three races, 12 Top-5s, and 19 Top-10s to his only one DNF. Heim missed a start at Gateway due to an illness. He only has one start at Phoenix Raceway, but he did finish seventh in that one start.

Will the extra preparation help the #11 team to win the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship?

Grant Enfinger- #23

Grant Enfinger was able to get enough points to advance through the round of eight. The attrition of the #23 GMS truck comes off the finishes of third at Bristol, 13th at Talladega, and fourth at Homestead-Miami. Enfinger has won three races, nine Top-5s, and 12 Top-10s with no DNFs so far this season. Enfinger has six starts with two Top-5s and three Top-10s in his Phoenix career.

Does Enfinger have the momentum to put himself in the right spot to be able to win and send GMS Racing out with a championship before they close their doors Friday night?

Carson Hocevar- #42

One last hurrah for the driver. The driver of the #42 Niece Motorsports will be moving up to the Cup Series to drive the #77 for Spire Motorsports. Hocevar is looking to help his career stats by winning a championship before he makes that jump. Hocevar has won four races, 11 Top-5s, 13 Top-10s with three DNFs on the year. Hocevar earned his way into the Championship Four by winning the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Hocevar has raced at Phoenix four times and has finished in the top 10 in half of those starts. He has an average finish of 18.5 at the track.

Can he go back to back to improve on those numbers and give Niece Motorsports a nice parting gift before the move to the Cup Series?

Ben Rhodes- #99

For the third consecutive season, Ben Rhodes will be a part of the Championship Four at Phoenix Raceway. Ben Rhodes has a survive and advance mentality. Rhodes finished top 10 in all three races (seventh at Bristol, second at Talladega and Homestead-Miami), but he didn’t have the playoff points or stage points to help him out. If not for a gutsy call at the Homestead-Miami race, he wouldn’t have advanced. By the skin of his teeth, he made it by a couple of points. Rhodes’ only win on the season came back in May at Charlotte. Along with that win, he has six Top-5s, 13 Top-10s and one DNF on the year.

Rhodes is the only one of the Championship Four who has won a Truck Series Championship. In 2021, he won the Championship and came just short of it in 2022. In Rhodes’ eight starts, he has four Top-5s and five Top-10s. Can Rhodes win his second career Craftsman Truck Series Championship?
