Taking a look at the most consistent fantasy football kickers to draft this season, including the Pittsburgh Steelers’ kicker, Chris Boswell!
The fantasy football kicker position can be the easiest position in the game to overlook. When it comes to the later rounds of your draft, it’s easy to take a big name and slot him into your lineup and not think about it. While that may be a viable strategy, taking an extra look at who the most consistent kickers are may give you just a little bit more of an advantage for that kicker position.
When we are talking about consistency in the kicking game, we are looking at fantasy football kickers who finished with eight or more fantasy points in the highest percentage of weeks that they played in last season. This data can be found in our award-winning draft kit below!
Most Consistent Fantasy Football Kickers | Consistency Fantasy Football Rankings
Chris Boswell – Pittsburgh Steelers
When looking at the kicker position over the past few years, there have been few who have been better than Chris Boswell with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Boswell was automatic for the Steelers last season, connecting on 41/44 field goals, including 13 makes of 50+ yards. On top of that, Boswell connected on all 35 of his extra point attempts. Those numbers allowed Boswell to be considered a “starter” at the position in 12 weeks. He also “boomed” (12+ points) six times last season and only went under six points twice.
With Aaron Rodgers manning the offense this season, it seems likely that the Steelers’ offense finishes higher than 23rd in yards per game. Along with DK Metcalf and Jonnu Smith, the passing game for sure sees an instant upgrade. This should put the Steelers in many more scoring positions. Boswell should be in line for another big year, as Pittsburgh looks to get back to the playoffs.

Brandon Aubrey – Dallas Cowboys
Even with injuries and inconsistent play from the Dallas Cowboys’ offense over the past couple of years, the bright spot for the Cowboys has been Brandon Aubrey. Over the past two seasons, Aubrey has totaled the most points at the kicker position in fantasy football, scoring 157 in his rookie season and 150 last year. Last season, Aubrey scored eight or more fantasy points in 12 weeks. He went over 11 points in six weeks and went under six points just once.
As the Cowboys have seemingly rebuilt a strong offensive line after Zack Martin retired, the run game all of a sudden looks like one of the better units in the NFL (depending on the RB). Add to that Dak Prescott is healthy and has CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens at his disposal, and this offense will compete for the most yardage in the league. Even in less-than-stellar offenses over the past two seasons, Aubrey has been the best kicker in the league, so with an upgraded offense, Aubrey should continue to see just as much, maybe more, work this season.
Ka’imi Fairbairn – Houston Texans
While the Houston Texans did make the playoffs last season, there was an obvious downgrade when it came to the offense. One thing that did not suffer as much was the kicking game. Ka’imi Fairbairn finished the season as the fourth-most consistent fantasy football kicker, making 13/16 attempts from 50+ yards and making 34/36 extra point attempts. In total, Fairbairn was considered a starter during 12 weeks last season. He went over 11 points seven times and went under six points twice.
With a new offensive coordinator and somewhat of a rebuilt offensive line, the Houston Texans will be able to bounce back stronger this season. CJ Stroud will be better with a healthy Nico Collins and two young weapons in Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. With a struggling run game, the Texans will rely on Stroud and the passing game, setting up situations for Fairbairn to be the leading scorer on the team once again.
