While the NHL and NBA wait to see if they will be able to finish their seasons, the MLB is waiting to see when they will be able to start theirs. Despite opening day being postponed and everyone practicing their social distancing, there are still plenty of MLB odds to explore and put money on right now.

What Will the MLB Season Look Like?

Though I am confident we will get some sort of baseball season in 2020, I have no idea what it will look like. Right now, it seems the MLB is hopeful that they will get in enough games for everyone to accept it as a legitimate season. Would 50 games be enough to satisfy everyone, or is that number closer to 80? How many double headers will we see? There are plenty of questions surrounding the topic that heavily impacts the season, thus impacting MLB odds.

MLB Odds Amid the Uncertainty

The World Series odds will likely not change very much, but futures on division winners, team totals, individual props and anything else of the sort will be adjusted when we know more about the season landscape.

If you already have action on a prop bet, such as the Astros hit by pitch total (79.5), I suspect most books will cancel them and make you place your bet again on the updated MLB odds.

Even though the MLB odds and totals are possibly going to change, the order of teams and individuals attached to them likely will not.

Let’s take a look at some futures that are currently available across the MLB.
