Miles McBride Highlights

Miles McBride Draft Profile

Strengths

There are many NBA Draft analysts who love the upside that Miles McBride brings to the table. He is a gifted playmaker and brings a high level of energy to every possession. In addition to his passing abilities, McBride packs a one-two punch as a jump shooter. Not only does he have prowess as a spot-up shooter, but he also has the ability to create his own shots off the dribble. McBride is one of the top defensive prospects in the 2021 NBA Draft. He is relentless when guarding the ball. Very few players managed to blow by him at the collegiate level.

Weaknesses

While McBride has proven an ability to create shots and hit off-balance jumpers, his limited ball-handling skills do limit him a bit. His ability to create consistent space is average, at best. Another weakness is his lack of athletic burst. Not only does this hinder his speed and acceleration on dribble drives, but he is also primarily a below-the-rim player. This could leave him susceptible to elite NBA shot-blockers.
