Miami vs Kentucky Prediction | College Basketball Betting Picks
Miami and Kentucky match up on Tuesday night on the opening night of the ACC/SEC challenge. Both teams have had a great start to the season, with the only loss between the two coming from Kentucky against Kansas 89-84 in the State Farm Champions Classic.
Miami has beaten everyone they’ve played but has yet to face much competition. Even with an easy schedule, they only beat a weak Florida International team 86-80 after rallying from a 12-point second-half deficit. Miami is led by the three-headed monster of Wooga Poplar, Matthew Cleveland and Nijel Pack. The Hurricanes will be leaning on their trio of guards if they want to leave Lexington with a win.
Outside of their loss to Kansas, Kentucky has blown out nearly every team put in front of them. With six players averaging double figures, there is plenty of offensive firepower on this team. The Wildcats have a solid defense also as they average over 10 steals per game.
Miami is a solid college basketball team, but it’s hard to trust any team whose first true test is coming at Rupp Arena. Kentucky has one of the best home-court advantages in the country and fewer places get louder when the Wildcats are on a roll. While a 5.5-point spread is a decent size for such a matchup, Kentucky should still be able to cover it.
Our college basketball betting Miami vs Kentucky prediction tonight will be Kentucky -5.5 at BetUS.
For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Kentucky a 79.2% chance to win.
