Chop Robinson Scouting Report

Strengths

Chop Robinson is a rare type of athlete on the edge. He is extremely explosive and fast on the edge, making him someone to key on immediately in the NFL. Robinson uses his leverage and a great first step to control the line of scrimmage. Truthfully, the way he gets off the ball is going to cause opposing offenses nightmares all week. He will demand another body to help his matchup.

Weaknesses

Despite my gushing about his athletic traits and all of the goods Chop Robinson has, his production was just so-so. He needs to be more consistent and winning his matchups needs to result in more plays being made. Robinson also needs to work on technique, so his skills can be paired harmoniously with his blessed abilities. There is still a bit of a disconnect between his hands and feet.

In other words, he is going to be some defensive coordinator’s wet dream, but the pressure is on them to turn Chop Robinson into what he is capable of being.

What to Expect From Chop Robinson in 2024

Chop Robinson has all of the makings of a great NFL edge rusher. However, for the 2024 season, you may not hear his name as often as you’d like. Robinson needs a lot of coaching in order to add more moves and be more productive. Once the techniques are learned and developed, watch out.
